YEah. Just did a little research and thats what i am looking at. Since Covid I haven't really watched much. But used to watch YSE virtually every weekend prior to that. I live 2 minutes from where the Colts play regulary and think I should stop by and watch a little more often. Thanks
Barrie is a great team for you to watch if you're looking for top talent. Potentially 2 top 5 picks and 3+ 1st Rounders. They just need to learn to put it together as a team. Odd why they struggle so much vs. top teams.

all day there on the 27th. there’s a player that I’ve never seen on any public list that will. Go top 5, Oakville forward ethan belchetz.

I’m not talking about people’s list, I mean scouting agencies. If there’s one that has him there I’d be happy to be wrong
I'm subscribed to thescout.ca and they have him as an "A" grade. I haven't seen any official ranking list released by them yet though.

Normally when you think of Barrie, you think offensive juggernaut, but it looks like team D and goaltending has carried them this tournament. Only 6 goals allowed through 7 games.

Don't know much about either goalie (Schaubel/Beites) other than Beites was named to the Canada Youth Olympic squad that was just announced.

Colts win the Marlies Tournament, shutting out Oakville 5-0 in the Finals.

6 goals allowed in 8 games. Impressive.

@GermanSpitfire do you or anyone else know anything about these Barrie goalies?

Do we have an elite goalie for this age group like Ivankovic last year?

YSE goalie Ellsworth is pretty good as well. Has been a top goalie in this age group for some time.

Schaubel has been highly regarded for many years. Incredible physical gifts and had four shutouts in his four starts in the Marlies tourney.

Beites came down from the north. Really strong technical goalie and was in net for the final vs Oakville.

Ellsworth really strong though he has the same issue as the Barrie goalies - he's talented but the team is good so he's never under massive workload.

Maybe sleeper pick would be Carpino from the Waxers who faces a ton of shots and seems to do well (GAA almost half a goal less than the other goalie on Markham).

Hey everyone- I much appreciate the work that has been put in already to these lists. I am a former player agent and transitioning into a new role for next season.

Just curious if there's any under the radar prospects for this years draft? I have found a lot of time and effort is spent on the top picks and players but curious if there are any late-developing players that may be a steal for teams in the later rounds. All the best and happy new year!
sorry davis? what are you doing now? not an agent? or looking for new clients?

I mean, it's an imperfect science but there's some of them every year. That's why OHL Scouts get paid, it's to find these guys.

Here's a handful that will go after round 3 that I like:

Max Wetherup
Jordan Perrier
Ian Robinson
Owen Kelly
Reggie Taylor
Jacob Vandeven
Mateo Craievich
Sam Wathier

But I could go on..

Representation has become a very saturated market for sure. I feel very badly for those that are misrepresented or charged fees for unfulfilled duties. Hockey has been materialized to such an extreme that it's forcing players out before they even get an opportunity to showcase.
you think so? thats an interesting theory, i dont know for sure but i know that locally there are players who cant afford to play and get substaties from other parents and from the organization to continue to play aaa, its on the downlow.

i remember there was a player in the gthl a few years back whose mom was struggling to get by and the organization did everything it could to get him playing due to his potential and because he was a very good person. i know an agent that represented a player last year and paid all his fees and equipment because he believed in him.

i think moderate and average players get pushed out all the time, but thats because they are average. i do know that if you show true potential that coaches and other hockey people will do alot to make it more affordable without asking for the headlines (and it doesnt get headlines either).

im a bit old and jaded maybe just because ive head 1,000 or so stories of kids who never where not make it because of every reason other then they just were not good enough. 9 times out of 10 thats why they dont get the opportunity, the ability and potential just isn't there so no one is willing to put their neck on the line for you.

Hard to suggest under the radar prospects unless you indicate who is on your radar.
