Representation has become a very saturated market for sure. I feel very badly for those that are misrepresented or charged fees for unfulfilled duties. Hockey has been materialized to such an extreme that it's forcing players out before they even get an opportunity to showcase.
you think so? thats an interesting theory, i dont know for sure but i know that locally there are players who cant afford to play and get substaties from other parents and from the organization to continue to play aaa, its on the downlow.
i remember there was a player in the gthl a few years back whose mom was struggling to get by and the organization did everything it could to get him playing due to his potential and because he was a very good person. i know an agent that represented a player last year and paid all his fees and equipment because he believed in him.
i think moderate and average players get pushed out all the time, but thats because they are average. i do know that if you show true potential that coaches and other hockey people will do alot to make it more affordable without asking for the headlines (and it doesnt get headlines either).
im a bit old and jaded maybe just because ive head 1,000 or so stories of kids who never where not make it because of every reason other then they just were not good enough. 9 times out of 10 thats why they dont get the opportunity, the ability and potential just isn't there so no one is willing to put their neck on the line for you.
