Is this good? Honestly asking
Gritsyuk has 28 points in 48 games this season as 21yo player. He has very slow start, but now he has 18 points in the last 19 games.
Gritsyuk has 28 points in 39 geams previous season as 20yo player.
Marchenko has 28 points in 41 games as 20 yo player.
He has 20 points in 39 games as 21 yo player.
Kuzmenko has 25 points in 45 games as 21 yo player.
He has 15 points in 34 games as 20 yo.
Khusnutdinov has 27 points in 47 games as 20 yo player.
For example guys like Soschnikov and Prokhorkin didn`t built NHL career, so it`s not guarantee.
But it is clearly good result.
He doesn`t have new KHL deal still. So may be he will decide to make a try. And I think if he will gain some success or will not look far away from roster, he can try to stay. If he and team will understand that he needs time to mature, he can go the path Shakir made - sign and play one-two more year in KHL. Because if he is really ready for NHL - AHL is a weak competition for him. We can see how quite similar player Holtz(both are shoot oriented, Gritsyuk is better skater, Holtz is better passer, Holtz is better positionally in offensive zone, Gritsyuk is better in neuteral zone. I`m not telling that one or another is better but we can see how Holtz isn`t ready for NHL, but he will not find something interesting and chellenging in AHL - That`s I`m talking about, not about who better\worser). If he is close or ready - sign and adapt for NA style of game. If he will sign one-two more years in KHL - nothing really bad for Devils organisation - he will work on his game more, Devils will got more mature and skilled player right before play off for nothing. In any case we can find our own good sides.
I hope he will try himself in NHL this spring. And it`s easier to understand what he should actully do with his development after.
