I think Woodley (woodguy) has been pretty sharp in his projections and analyses of goalies. He was one of the only guys I heard ringing the alarm when the Oilers signed Campbell.
Woodley seems to miss more than he hits.

He also said that Skinner gave the Oilers the clear best goaltending in the division going into this season.

Minor point of contention, Woodley and Woodguy aren't the same person haha. Kevin Woodley is the goalie guy. Woodguy is an analytically inclined fan that works in the wood industry in some aspect.

Oh, wow. I thought "woodguy" was woodley's twitter handled. I'm not on social media and just listen to these guys on the radio. Thanks for the correction lol.

How can we get Olivier out of Columbus?
We probably can't. He wears a letter for them and they've got a good shot at being playoff bound.

haha yeah I can see the confusion. Woodley's handle is @kevinisingoal. Woodguy is @woodguy55 and his name is Darcy if memory serves

I just wanna say Kuemper was the CLEAR and obvious choice over Campbell, in terms of doling out big 5x5 contracts at that particular juncture in time.

Would have been better off signing cheap goalies, retrospectively. Just because you pay more doesn’t mean you get more certainty. Only like 10 goalies in the league are money-in-the-bank

I'm starting to hear that Klingberg is the Oilers big addition this year, if so that is very disappointing.

In a Stanley Cup year all of us should want us to spend some of our tradable assets (especially with Kane out until playoffs)

The Oilers are going to have over 5 million cap space at the deadline to pick up someone else... I doubt that Klingberg at 1 million or whatever is going to be our 'big add'.

I mean, Husso was the clearly choice over both, all 3 failed. Kuemper slightly less so.

From whom? We did things a certain way so we'd end up with a ton of cap space at the deadline. And it's clear we need a better goalie

If you're 'hearing' that, I'd stop listening to those people.
