He likely would only waive for another playoff team.Does Jeff Skinner like the sun? Swap him and some stuff for Gibson at 50% and it's almost even cap.
Looks like others beat me to it.

Woodley seems to miss more than he hits.I think Woodley (woodguy) has been pretty sharp in his projections and analyses of goalies. He was one of the only guys I heard ringing the alarm when the Oilers signed Campbell.
Admittedly I thought it was a good signing too, but alas. Oilers scouts are really some of the worst in the league.I think Woodley (woodguy) has been pretty sharp in his projections and analyses of goalies. He was one of the only guys I heard ringing the alarm when the Oilers signed Campbell.
Sheesh, say no more. But to be fair, Henrik Lundqvist said the same thing if I recall correctly.Woodley seems to miss more than he hits.
He also said that Skinner gave the Oilers the clear best goaltending in the division going into this season.
Minor point of contention, Woodley and Woodguy aren't the same person haha. Kevin Woodley is the goalie guy. Woodguy is an analytically inclined fan that works in the wood industry in some aspect.I think Woodley (woodguy) has been pretty sharp in his projections and analyses of goalies. Oh, wow. I thought "woodguy" was woodley's twitter handled. I'm not on social media and just listen to these guys on the radio. Thanks for the correction lol.Minor point of contention, Woodley and Woodguy aren't the same person haha. Kevin Woodley is the goalie guy. We probably can't. He wears a letter for them and they've got a good shot at being playoff bound. How can we get Olivier out of Columbus?
haha yeah I can see the confusion. Woodley's handle is @kevinisingoal. Woodguy is @woodguy55 and his name is Darcy if memory servesOh, wow. I thought "woodguy" was woodley's twitter handled. I'm not on social media and just listen to these guys on the radio. Thanks for the correction lol.
I posted this in another thread- but the oilers should be running away with the presidents trophy…

If that's true why wouldn't the Ducks just hold him hostage until the Oilers pay up?Oilers are the only contenders in need of a starter. The price for Gibson shouldn't be high

But he's not dealing with Holland.Verbeek we are talking about
The Oilers are going to have over 5 million cap space at the deadline to pick up someone else... I doubt that Klingberg at 1 million or whatever is going to be our 'big add'.I'm starting to hear that Klingberg is the Oilers big addition this year, if so that is very disappointing.
In a Stanley Cup year all of us should want us to spend some of our tradable assets (especially with Kane out until playoffs)
I mean, Husso was the clearly choice over both, all 3 failed. Kuemper slightly less so.I just wanna say Kuemper was the CLEAR and obvious choice over Campbell, in terms of doling out big 5x5 contracts at that particular juncture in time.
Would have been better off signing cheap goalies, retrospectively. Just because you pay more doesn’t mean you get more certainty. Only like 10 goalies in the league are money-in-the-bank
They might. Depends if Gibson privately wants out or not though. If he does now is the time to trade him.If that's true why wouldn't the Ducks just hold him hostage until the Oilers pay up?
My understanding is he is still demanding out, and there was a report saying he'd be good with coming here. This was in the FallThey might. Depends if Gibson privately wants out or not though. If he does now is the time to trade him.
Getting 50% retention is going to be costly though.
Supply... Gibson isn't the only goalie available. If that's true why wouldn't the Ducks just hold him hostage until the Oilers pay up?
From whom? We did things a certain way so we'd end up with a ton of cap space at the deadline. And it's clear we need a better goalieI'm starting to hear that Klingberg is the Oilers big addition this year, if so that is very disappointing.

If you're 'hearing' that, I'd stop listening to those people.I'm starting to hear that Klingberg is the Oilers big addition this year, if so that is very disappointing.
