intriguing idea
i might go as high as age 27-28 tho (for a c

I wouldn't trade the guy at all.

But I wouldn't even listen to and offer for Kesler. Good player, But his injuries scare the hell out of me.

I don't see why anyone even would want to purpose the trading of Gardiner. Most of it comes off of having Finn, Percy, Blacker in the pipeline, Who I do like, But until we see them we can't be trading one of the best young defensemen we've had in a long time.

I've only seen one proposal that would make sense, And that's with Colorado for #9

rielly ?

if gardiner than gaunce

and thats still a deall id struggle to make

Gaunce sucks. His ceiling is pretty much Paul Gaustad.

I would want Kassian included if Gardiner is in the deal, although this still doesn't really address our major needs.

I guess i'm just salvating over a future 3rd line with Kassian and Biggs.

I didn't mention him cause I'm fairly certain that he will make the NHL and be an impact player. The others, Are still questions marks But again, I do like them.

But to that, I want Rielly and Gardiner to be the core of the defense for years to come. And if any of the others make it then that's fantastic.

I just hope to god that Rielly can be a defensive stalwart as well.

Man all these stupid rumours of the likes of Gardiner, Reilly, etc going the other way for Luongo... it's freaking crazy talk.

IMO if we are dealing any of our top prospects for him we're getting bent over....

Really hoping Franson will be signed before the season starts. We need him on the blue line because without him and the fact that Gardiner is injured, that D is not looking too pretty.

I think there's a decent chance Gards will be ready to go at the start of the season. Carlyle put his health at 90% and hopes he will be available at the start of camp.

Oh sweet...Didn't know that. Still though, Franson should be given another chance this year, not sure what the hold up is, I'd like to see him on the second pairing with Liles.

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Liles - Franson
Gardiner - Komisarek / Holzer

I'd even advocate a trade to bring in another shut-down defense-man to play with Liles and then have a Gardiner - Franson pairing as No. 5, 6. That would be an ideal D-core for me.

From everything i have heard today Rielly has a legit shot to start the year with the big club if Gardiner isn't healthy...

Does anybody know if it's still 9 games before he burns a year of his contract?

Pretty sure it's 6 games just for this season.

Nonis said on Sportsnet they will not move young players unless they are getting young players in return. Ala Aulie for Ashton.

Said Gardiner/Rielly aren't moving as they are huge building block pieces for the franchise.
