Dvorak for debrusk zboril and a 2nd should do it. Surprised donny cant come something like this. Works for both teams. Darn I should have been a general manager I can fix this team. Book it!

Debrusk’s value is at an all time low
Zboril’s an AHL caliber player right now
A second I’m sure doesn’t move the needle all that much.

I would venture to guess the Yotes are looking for a lot more than that at this point.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted a first or high end prospect in addition to Debrusk.

I just threw up in m my mouth. Come on.
Debrusk has little trade value at this point.
Studnicka was given a shot to play last year and ended up in the AHL and that was with a very weak bottom 6.
Gryz is a million bucks overpaid on his current deal.
The 1st rounder hurts.

I am fine trying Coyle in the 2C spot and giving him a chance with hopefully Hall and Pasta and putting Smith with Bergy and Marshy.........but we're a stronger team with Coyle on the 3rd line.

Dvorak fills a need for us at C, but he really is overrated on here, sure JDB had a down year, but the 3 years before that were all pretty good and Dvorak has not exactly lit the league on fire, they both have potential and around the same age, to me it is close to a wash with a small add or 2 from our side, Beecher and Ahcan maybe.

I'm not sure either but it would be considered and a real possibility. Here's hoping McAvoy goes with the recent bruin trend of team friendly contracts.

If this regime even considers it, then add another to list of reasons they should be canned. If you’re trading McAvoy while you have Coyle making 5.25M for the next 5 years, that’s a massive yikes.

I really don’t think it’s a consideration or real possibility. The way you’re consistently bringing it up sounds more like something you actually want to happen.

I don't want to see it happen but at what cost? What's reasonable in your GM shoes?

Lets say McAvoy is a Norris finalist this season (2nd team all-star)

If he (his agent) demands 8 years at $100 million, do you sign him?

Absolutely. If JDB, Zboril and a 2nd were sufficient, deal would be done by now. That offer doesn't get it done.

I'm sure Sweeney would insist on JDB as part of the package, so let's all agree on that.

'Yotes probably want a 1st and something like Beecher as well. My counter would be Vaak and a 2nd.

If he’s demanding that, he doesn’t want to be with Boston. However, if he’s demanding that, was the start higher or is that his starting point? Because if there is mutual agreement for the player to be there, I would assume the player doesn’t usually get what they’re demanding. They usually meet somewhere in the middle.

That's the price.

The next 8 years should be his prime.

If they won't give it to him, someone else will.

I don’t know if see McAvoy being tied highest AAV in the league with McDavid which would be 12.5M.

It would be an “overpay” that I wouldn’t be overly concerned with. Overpaying your stars makes more sense than overpaying the rest.

I would go 68 mil for 8 years, average of 8.5. People will say oh this is not enough, but you have to keep the team in mind and not put all your eggs in 1 basket.

If he was looking for 12+ mil per then not for me.

Erik Karlson is way overpaid in my opinion.

Youre comparing apples to oranges with Karlsson. He is way overpaid for what he is but he wasn’t worth the contract in the first place. He was never good enough defensively to warrant that contract.

However? McAvoy is a positive factor at both ends of the ice. I overpay for a McAvoy type. If his contract is why you can’t go out and overpay for a Backes? Oh well. Lmao

for those who are balking at giving McAvoy 9+ million a year on his next deal, keep in mind that when Chara signed his original UFA deal with the Bruins it was for $7.5m which was over 17% of the cap at the time. If we can get McAvoy for 8 years entering his prime starting at ~11% of the cap that's not unreasonable at all.

Also may want to look around at what top defensemen are getting right now. Some of them worse than McAvoy on his worst day.
