Since GDT is meant for bad takes, I might aswell say that I would entertain trading Bratt for someone who can score goals and play a complete game. Sadly theres very few of those kind of players as many goal scorers are one trick ponies.

Now when the team goes on a 15 game heater and Bratt puts up 95 points, I can say that my message was emotional baggage after a loss when someone tells me to eat shit.

the lack of finishing really is disturbing... but I don't think we're playing badly

just that we aren't getting the bounces and guys that started the year hot are coming back to earth

I think the only troubling thing is that we aren't playing a solid team game anymore. I don't know if it is entirely bc of our getting tight when things get rough or whether we press and everyone tries to do too much, or what.. .but right now we just are in a bad way and need a good game to regain some confidence.

What we probably need to do is throw Blackwood in there to the wolves and REALLY settle down to lose some games and add 'goaltending' to our list of woes.

It's a bummer but I'm pretty sure we'll be back. A little puck luck or big game from someone or a bunch of practices ....

- the book is out on us so good teams know how to stop us from playing our game

- no real finishers

- team is soft as shit and gets dominated by physical teams, our stars are undersized so they tend to disappear in these games, and they have no protection so our f***ing captain gets pushed around all night with impunity because they know no one’s gonna do anything about it

we had some prime scoring chances that we couldn't burry (Haula one timer, McLeod last minute fanned off a pass from Hughes, Holtz up close, Mercer right in the slot)...

...and yegor too... They really are tight. Maybe the boyiys need a road trip / a day off...clear your heads.

I'm choosing to look on the bright side. Marino is perhaps our best d-man...so consistent. McLeod had a really nice game and I was encouraged by Holtz.
