If this doesn't looks like the team that finished near the basement last year right now, I don't know what does. Very much reminiscent of the "almost had them" but were never really in a position to win games from the last couple seasons. Exact opposite of a couple of the wins we had earlier this season where you might say the other team had a chance to win but we were really just toying with them. Concern is warranted. The flyers game felt like looking into a death spiral. This feels like one foot over the edge and the other about ready to slip.

I think the only troubling thing is that we aren't playing a solid team game anymore. I don't know if it is entirely bc of our getting tight when things get rough or whether we press and everyone tries to do too much, or what.. .but right now we just are in a bad way and need a good game to regain some confidence.

What we probably need to do is throw Blackwood in there to the wolves and REALLY settle down to lose some games and add 'goaltending' to our list of woes.

It's a bummer but I'm pretty sure we'll be back. A little puck luck or big game from someone or a bunch of practices ....
