I am so disappointed right now that I'm not even going to argue with you......THIS TIME. 😈
The fact that scares me too is that he's playing the same kind of role on PP like Jack. He's already being dropped to PP2, although PP is not working at all so it dont matter atm. Does he want to be the guy? Idk what his thought process is gonna be, but if he wants to be "the guy" getting prime opportunities it might not happen here since everything runs through Jack now and in the future.

I like the player, even love him at times and would not trade him for anybody. But if the perfect trade option was out there, I think he can be expendable.

The power play would be be a good place to start turning this around. I didn’t think we had our best personnel out there when it was Holtz and Zetterlund on the two wings on the first unit. Also we didn’t move the puck quickly. Hughes or Hamilton would get it and skate and hesitate and the other players were standing around. At least use touch passes and make the penalty kill move.

Overall I thought we were sluggish and off our game from the opening puck drop. Little energy, turning over the puck and getting beat to pucks.

We were very fortunate to have a chance to tie this in the closing minutes after getting out played like we did.

Maybe we can turn this around on the road. We can’t get out of Dodge fast enough for me.

I wanted a short losing streak to see what this team has in it. Right now, not impressed. 5 losses in a row is not acceptable and no amount of excuses explains it.

Lol there is 0 chance he gets fired this season. Off season ok fine but 0 chance in season I wish there were odds to bet it I would put everything on it lol.
If we start to look like we're falling out of a playoff spot then I think they will fire him in-season, yes I do.

His heir is already here and second in command.

I mean, I'm not saying if we go 500 (starting next game) through the next month that'll get him fired, as we'll still be in decent standing if we go 500 over the next month

But if we have a pretty bad record over the next month, I think he's gone mid-season.

It probably won't be before the next 3 weeks at the earliest, unless things go catastrophically bad.

I think this losing streak going 10-12 could be that catastrophic occurrence, but I still think we'll a game before the streak gets that bad, if not by accident.

+ not allowing a total softy

if it was Blackwood people would be blaming him for the loss. Schmid did well sans the bad goal but acting like he prevent a bigger loss seems like a stretch
This is true. The first goal wasn't really great since Siegs had to take the pass and it's up to Schmid to cut anything thru the blue - but still... the defenses fault.

The one off the glove would've sent @Bleedred off for 14 hours of Blackwood hate, easily.

Yeah, I mean we saw this with Hall syndrome, where everyone's looking for someone (Jack) to work a miracle.

I'm just concerned that we aren't doing the right things - like completing simple passes forward to forward to get up the ice and get into good positions.

You could say teams are taking that away from us, but we are doing it to ourselves too. I was amazed at how many times Hughes would skate around and just pass the puck back to a defenseman because no one was ready for a pass.

The powerplay has stopped rotating around crossing up the coverage. There on this perimeter crap again. That was the spark for the scoring.

However, I don'[t have high hopes for stopping the bleed out if we think we're gonna plug the returning decrepit #29 in there and thinking he can spark us.

No Bastian. No one to screen, no one to dig out pucks, no one to smash away at something loose in the crease. I love Nico but he has no business being in front of the net.

Exactly. I'm now in this camp, too.

This stretch was the stretch where Bratt should have made his case for being paid but instead it strengthens Fitz's position and I would offer only 7.5 per (take it or leave it).
Jesus! Its bad when glenwo turns on Bratt.

Also when did you change your bio from barber to viagra

It was certainly a bad goal, but I think probably the only really bad goal he's allowed this year.

He allowed another one that I thought he could have had in I think it was the Islanders game? But it wasn't that bad. Not like tonight's weak softy off the glove.

Jack
Bratt Nico Holtz
Zetterlund

and Holtz and Zetterlund on the first unit too. Ugh.
Holtz's just existing there

Dougie totally ignoring him, didn't set him up for a single one timer

What chances? Pretty limited really. He had to make a couple of good saves and then catch the lobs from the point.
The biggest moment in the game was Haula failing to finish the glorious chance Holtz put on a silver platter for him. Zetterlund had good chance on the PP. Nico had a nice chance late. There were plenty.

I still think we'll get a win over Boston

As long as this losing streak ends in the next two games.

I think we'll win one of the two games, but not if the losing streak isn't snapped in Raleigh or Sunrise.

I don't think we're snapping a long losing streak over them, so I do fear this goes 9 if we don't win one of the next two.
