Yea I honestly don't mind Doc it's just so cliche and kinda funny his phrases...“It wouldn’t go” is Doc’s go-to phrase when the puck doesn’t go in the net, but he has no clue how it didn’t.
The older he gets, the more he has to use it.
John Gianonne is so anti-climatic and just ****ing awful.
Steve Cangialosi is awful as well. “HE SCARSSSS!!!” I haven’t been able to sit through a Devils game in years, and it’s mostly because of him.
This is actually one of my favorite things, precisely because I only know wtf that means based on context.Anytime Doc says "waffleboarded"
I still don't know what a "mackinaw" is.![]()
Here it comes...Gary Koch's "Better than most" comment on Tiger Woods putt.
Makes me cringe
"The Boston Bruins have won the Stanley Cup" is one of my least favorite things to hear a commentator say.
Jim Hughson's "he shoots, he scores" often sounds really forced and unnatural.
Yeah I'd have to avoid any NESN highlights, if that comes to fruition. Jack Edwards is just nauseating.
I'll settle for either CBC audio, or muted.![]()
Kind of an oddity, but the commercial on TV right now with the kid scoring a goal in a road hockey gam and they sync in the TML local announcer calling a goal of Auston Matthews' into an empty-net and screaming "holy mackinaw" - that whole commercial's sound grates on my nerves. I'm not sure if the TML announcer always sounds like that, but in that particular commercial, he sounds borderline incoherent and somewhat like an angry alcoholic yelling at kids in the street.
Luckily for you that is impossible. NBC has exclusive rights after the 1st round. Last game Edwards will call this season was game 7 of the first round.
