Erik Condra would likely be available for a draft pick, but if Anaheim needs to send salary back there wouldn't be any point as that's why he'd be available in the first place.

Matt Read @ 50% retained (comes down to $1.8 per) for a 2nd in 2017 and conditional 3rd in 2018 (upgrades to 2nd if Anaheim advances beyond the Semifinals)

If whatever trade for Fowler that Ducks and Wings fans were close on regarding Tatar (It might have been Nyquist), that could bump Cogliano down to the third line.

I was going to say that Stafford may be an option come the TD or we could retain salary but we might just be able to go another route with another team and just skip all that.

The Jets might be willing to trade one of the young wingers (Armia/Dano/Petan etc.) But would need one of the ducks good d prospects coming back. If you're unwilling to pay that Thor burn should be available

Most of these deals don't work for us. We're not taking on guys with 4M salaries to play 3rd line RW. IMO, we don't need a bottom 6 RW, we only need another top 6 LW.

He'll be given a chance.

A lot of people will be given a chance. Some could definitely grab a roster spot. That doesn't mean Ritchie is a good option for the top line. Even if he improves by October I don't think he can improve enough.

I think given his production and playing style Rakell should be on the top line.

Something around Hartnell for Fowler?

Oy gevalt. Hartnell's a top-6 LW, not a bottom-6 RW - and they seem to prefer Rakell on the LW, so a "he can just switch" theory seems a little silly (especially since the extra pay to Hartnell might make it a tad tougher for them to keep Rakell). Beyond that, not only is Fowler a silly overpayment for him, we don't actually have a useful need for Fowler (he's a younger JJ without the reputation of doom, and if/when Werenski breaks out he could very well be on our THIRD pairing). Mildly dubious for the Jackets and omfg-go-home-you're-drunk level absurd for the Ducks.

Sounds good to me but Arizona wants some salary coming back the other way.
Add Klas Dahlbeck (750k) to the deal and philly will add a 5th RD pick in 2017

So would this deal work

To Arizona: Matt Read at 50% retained would be 1.8mil a season for the next 2 seasons and a 5th round pick in 2017.

To Philadelphia: Klas Dahlbeck, a 2nd round pick in 2017 and a conditional 3rd round pick in 2018 (upgrades to 2nd RD pick if Anaheim advances beyond the Semifinals).

On your 1st line?

If Ritchie going to be playing with the big team, it's important to put him in a position to succeed and those are rhe the guys who suit is game the most Playing him with Getzlaf and Perry for all of his shifts doesn't mean he needs to be out there for all of theirs, he can still be sheltered away from tough defensive starts.

Just Kickin this around Canuck fans

What would you give us for Hansen............

Proposal

Ottawa's 2017 2nd + Anaheim's 2018 1st
for
Hansen at 50% + Vancouver's 2018 3rd

Hansen gives you a Multi Line Player who can play RW on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd line
High energy, fairly consistent contributor, 2 yrs at 1.25 M per, plays a good defensive game, and I don't think you find a better player for the price verses production factor

IMO he gives Anaheim as good of a chance as any to reach your goal
* Vancouver's 2018 3rd is as close as your going to get to a 2nd...just saying

I doubt Vancouver does it though..........Aqualini thinks we are SC finalists!

You need a 3RW with medium salary that can produce and the destination is Anaheim? This has Jannik Hansen written all over it. 2.5x2more
Needs are offensive defence 18-25 or offensively gifted prospect forward, 18-23 would be ideal. Also needs are 1st 2nd round picks to continue building
