No, I live in manhattan. I have a car though. Could drive up there w wife and kid, maybe theres other attractions nearby to make a day of it. Heading to a Rangers/Devils game and also a Knicks/Bulls game this year but at $600 for 3 tickets to each game cant afford to do that repeatedly. One Friday night a month, the Wolfpack does $2 Bud Lights & $2 Hotdogs. I don't drink shitty beer & I don't eat hotdogs, but for others that's a really inviting offer.
Do you live up here in the land of the leaf blower?
Rec hockey club . No leadership . If anyone wanted to change things it easily enough could be Kreider . He could drop them and give somebody a few shots and get some blood pumping.....but I guess he scores enough so why ask for any extra . We hardly ever see any extra from this club which is why we get a low amount of PP chances . Heck even Pastrnack will drop them....not our guys though .
It's the entire top 6 minus Panarin, plus 2/3rds of the d-men.
Kudos to VInny for talking tough, but his play this year has left a lot to be desired. He's been part of the problem.
They need to have their hands held. It's almost the whole team. Whatever leaders we have need to lead the team out of this hole. I don't know who that is.
It used to be a nice calm drive when I first drove up to the Civic Center in 1990 from Queens. Now it's a bit rougher & a lot more cars on the road, but once you get past Westchester, it's not awful. No, I live in manhattan. I have a car though. Maybe the Wolfpack offers me a value oriented sports family night out. The gears are turning. Too bad its so far away, looks like about 2 hours.
Wait I just recall you grilling steaks...you must have a great spot in the city if you have a Weber in your yard! No, I live in manhattan. I have a car though. Mark Twain’s house. That’s all that comes to mind. No, I live in manhattan. I have a car though. Could drive up there w wife and kid, maybe theres other attractions nearby to make a day of it. Thats perfect! My wife loves old homes, I love Mark Twain, and give the kid some culture and history lesson as well. Thanks!!Mark Twain’s house. That’s all that comes to mind.
Don't be silly, this team will make it to at least the second round and get by with thinking they still can go all the way next season...This teams plays like they arrived even though they never got to the destination. Look at how Florida reacted the next season after losing the Cup. This team will mail it in for 82 and think they'll turn it on come playoff time and get bounced in 5 games.
It's actually very close to the arena. Hartford is a tiny city, but you don't want to hang downtown. The Twain house is right on the edge of West Hartford, where all the money & the good restaurants are.Thats perfect! People roll their eyes at the country club narrative about this team but in reality there has never been a truer explanation for a franchise’s failure over time. Numerous cores, different players, different coaches, different circumstances. One constant: the organization treats them better than any other in the league. The players inevitably get comfortable in their station in life and lose the fight and desire necessary to become champions. It’s literally as simple as that.
It’s not fans being crazy. It’s not some conspiracy. It’s real. Players get paid and complacent and complacent and at this level, that’s all it takes for the difference between contender and bad. The whole group is fat and happy and paid. Went on a deep run last year. They’re entitled in every way.
Tomorrow is my birthday and my wife surprised me with really, really good tickets to a game in December (like 500 a piece, 6 rows up behind the net we shoot on twice). I’m so disgusted with this team i wanted to say cancel them get your money back. Im extremely no confident in being able to have a good time.
