Sure the Devils played down to the competition as usual but that goal that SHOULD'VE stood, would've ended up as a Devils victory.

Also because they scored on an easy elbow to the face and they let our guys get mugged all night but called the ticky tackest slash call on us that also lead to a goal.

This had "pain in the ass" game written all over it. 2 goals on 3 shots in the 2nd. Steve mentioning the 6th home win every goddamn second. Worst PP in the league scores against our top 5 on a BS call. Overturning Hall's beauty of a goal. The elbow. It wasn't their best game, but bah. This should've been a W in reg.

Vats had Lehner a mile outside the crease and for some unknown reason chose not to shoot.

Also, I don't have a problem with Zajac. It's his usage. It's completely fine if he's used as the defensive center that he is, that's the player he is now and it's okay. But he's being put with Palms and MoJo, guys that are expected to produce offense, and he is clearly weighing them down. The problem is whether or not Zacha is ready for that kind of position. We don't really have another option unfortunately. I think Zacha could do well there but I highly doubt the coaching staff will try it out.

They're going to have to sooner or later. Zajac is just clearly playing like shit and can't be kept in that position. Luckily Zacha has had some very good games recently, and has been putting up points.

I'd be totally on board with them buying Zajac out at the end of the year. We played just as well with him gone, and the scoring from the second line came without him perfectly fine. A struggle Zacha and McLeod are better options than what Zajac is now and will be until the end of his contract.

He has no place on this team.

No angle conclusively showed him offsides. It definitely was questionable but it should have been a good goal, which is what was called on the ice.

Why I’m not pulling my hair out over the OT. We had our chances. Our best players had the game on their sticks and it didn’t go in.

Only thing I really despised was the refs not blowing play dead when Lehner covered the puck and 5 seconds later decided to play it.

Not. He had possession and there is no conclusive view of the puck crossing the line before he took his skate off the blue line.

The NHL is the most reactionary league in professional sports.

If you bled it was 5, if your toe was in the crease it was no goal, fighting bad... sometimes, goalies can't handle the puck, goalies are fair game, goalies can't be touched, 4 on 4 outlawed, 4 on 4 encouraged...3 on 3 is a good idea...the decision makers in this league are freaking nuts.

I guess he didn’t think he had a clear lane, but IDK. The net is empty. Just put it towards net and let your forwards push it in worst case.
