The Rock with a message last night. The cut off part of the tweet continues ...creates chills every single time. Thank you Birmingham, Alabama, we made magical history in the “magic city”. Thank you WWE and thank you Cody for the love and the house (dream & soulman).Roman, there’s only one head of the table. I’ll see you in Vegas…Uso.

Wait, Uso? Was he trying to talk like the Bloodline and say Uce but for some reason said Uso?

they're cousins. that's what uso means

In Canon, Cody looks like a loser, but now I'm thinking that the fans are so mad that they'll be rooting for him more than ever. Like Daniel Bryan 2012-2014. I hope so.

I can't stand people defending this decision by saying "they'll make so much more money with Rock in the main event." You do not work for WWE, you will not see a penny of that money.

So we're on the same page...is most of the outrage about the trip more so than the destination? In an alternate universe where The Rock wins the Rumble then maybe Cody wins EC, if Cody/Seth is the direction they end up going, then you have the same destination of Rock/Roman and Cody/Seth however you don't have Cody winning the Rumble then ceding his story to let The Rock fight Roman.

It's because they shit on over a year of booking and build for nothing.

Yeah let's hot shot The Rock for a cheap buck and a run that'll nuke our storylines and last 3 months max.

It's peak WCW stupidity

It really depends how the fans in the arena react, but if it goes anything by what the online folks are saying, we might be waltzing into the yes movement 2.0.

you know, the whole point of using dirt sheets is to leak out these plans before executing them and see what the reaction is

I have to say I don't like Rock coming in and taking Cody's spot, but I'm surprised at the traction of the #wewantcody movement. The smarks were shitting on him as the white meat babyface as recently as him winning the Rumble.

Still feel like there's a swerve coming...

I don’t know about that, half the time people decide they don’t believe them

I am still very much anti-Cody when it comes to his character, but as a wrestling fan the story at least makes sense and has had long term storytelling.

On top of that, the guy wants to be there each week - which is more than we can say for Roman let alone Dwayne.

If it ends up being simply Cody vs. Seth and Rock vs. Roman for the respective titles, than this has been very poorly executed making virtually all 4 parties look bad.

But considering there are almost 9 weeks until WM 40, there has to be more to this than meets the eye. I mean, say on Monday Cody challenges Seth and both matches are set. What the heck are they going to do for the next 9 weeks of TV plus another PPV? On one side, you have two babyfaces, on the other side, two part-timers. Seth and Cody aren't even in any factions or alliances so what are they going to do to build their feud? Neither have any lackeys to help drive the story forward.

And let's be honest, right now on the surface the Rock/Roman feud doesn't have much meat on that bone to chew on. We already know they are cousins and It's not like The Rock is going to take over the Bloodline faction.

I still think the whole thing will wind up Rock vs. Roman vs. Cody which was their intention all along. And by doing it the way they did it, they found a way to get heat on the biggest movie star on the planet, while generating an even more positive response to the guy they've been trying to build as their biggest superhero character. And they can still do Roman vs. Rock a bit later at Summerslam or next year's WM without the title as part of the equation. Talk about a win-win-win.

Don't have a lot of time to type all my thoughts about this debacle but the highlights...

1. The like/dislike count on the Full Segment Cody/Rock/Roman video on WWE's YouTube was around 90K likes to almost 500K dislikes.

2. The highlight description I saw of this entire segment was essentially that Cody was introducing the kids to the new guy that's banging their Mom. And he had to smile and put on a happy show doing it. They made their top babyface look like a total cuck.

I think this is looking like a very strategic move by WWE. Now everyone is focused on Cody and the Rock, debates everywhere about it and the WWE wants this to continue all the way to Wrestlemania. Keep everyone all worked up over Cody/Rock and get everyone's attention away from the Vince stuff. At this point it wouldn't even surprise me if The Rock wins the title so after WM everyone will be talking about that going forward that he shouldn't have been the one to beat Reigns....

On a different note, I found it intriguing Dakota Kai was nowhere to be seen as Bayley made her announcement.

Wonder if she is going to side with Bayley or if she sides with the Kabuki Warriors? And if she sides with Bayley, do they bring in a third woman to even the odds? Perhaps have Dakota and that third woman challenge them at Mania for the titles?

Ricochet and Logan Paul are the only ones who have. Paul has issues with the Rock beyond this and doesn't give a shit.

I really don't think anyone is picking Ricochet out of the lineup to try and promote an angle here. Especially in the awkward way Ricochet went about it.

Dave also keeps trying to switch this to being about Vince's gross shit as well and doing it in the confusing manner only Dave can do.

She already on social media acting shocked it all happened. Imagine we get a "whose side is she on?" Angle with her until at least EC.

Well it was good enough for everyone to take at his word when he said this was a change made this week

He hasn't said he heard from sources that it's a work though. Dave has a really bad habit of throwing his speculation into things and not properly separating what he is reporting vs what he is thinking.

If he is hearing from sources this was a work from day 1, then he should just say so.

I still think Rock/Roman/Cody triple threat is the way to go. Cody pins Rock, Roman still looks strong.

I'd love Priest/McIntyre for the Raw belt. Priest cashes in at EC
