Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Dobson will probably ask for 2-3mil more than what Kyrou is locked in at for 7 more years. I wouldn't mind trading for Dobson but we need to add more offense and you don't do that by trading your best offensive piece.
id trade him for a bag of cheetos
No, Dobson screams "all offense no defense" this fan base will turn on him in 3 years. Especially if he gets paid 9.5+mil a year.
Yes, but we had Brett Hull so we weren't trading our top scoring wingerI’m not sure how trading our best offensive player helps us, but we did trade Shanny for Pronger and that worked out ok.

Kyrou hasn’t boned a teammate’s wife that we know of
Did it though? Not trying to be a jerk, but they both went on to win Cups elsewhere.I’m not sure how trading our best offensive player helps us, but we did trade Shanny for Pronger and that worked out ok.
Faulk bumps down to 3rd pair. The problem with this is what are the other deals in place to accommodate this one? Who is moving at right defense and for what?

At this stage, with our lack of top scoring talent, I would not trade Kyrou. Dobson is a tremendous Dman and will probably want $9-10 million on the open market, but we would be in big trouble without the scoring Kyrou provides. Now, if they would like to have Buchnevich, Dean and our 2026 1st rounder, I'm a 100% yes. Buch is not scoring at more than a 45-50 point pace and will be at $8m next year.
