Canada has Kent Johnson, Bedard, Stankoven, and I heard Mason McTavish (per someone on the Team Canada thread). It's still loaded.

How many countries do you think would actually participate if Russia was allowed to? I know Finland definitely would not. Sweden surely wouldn't either.

to use Syria as an argument to ban USA but not Russia is quite something, we can surely debate over justification to involve in a civil war but you are aware about the difference between a civil war and a war of aggression against international law? since it's a hockey forum let's get back to discuss hockey and for obvious reasons hockey without participation of a team representing Russia

No, ban none of them is my opinion. Banning 18 year olds not involved with these conflict for actions of their politicians is discriminatory and unfair.

we have to agree to disagree, I'm with you that there shouldn't be any sanctions whatsoever on the individuals so I don't think that russian players should be banned in the draft or league but representing the federation in a national team is a different story and like somebody else mentioned before there are lot of teams who would refuse to play team russia at the moment
