Its embarrassing that local pee wee hockey games have more fans in the stands than these games. Open it up free to the public or something - at least you would get some concession sales....

I get it that's its summer and many of the big names aren't there so you have to pivot and figure it out. You aren't going to get normal attendance or normal prices when having it in December but man figure it out. Make it free - general admission - something! Playing in an empty arena for a WJC is embarrassing.

I've already said that I wouldn't mind if Hockey Canada got suspended.

Right, but since this year's Canadian players aren't being held responsible for the actions of Hockey Canada, neither should the Russian players, IMO.

Just seems like pandering, to me, by the IIHF. Enough people whined about it, so they felt they needed to make an example of these innocent players since they couldn't do anything else of consequence.

Games being held mid-day, mid-week, mid-summer......I wasn't expecting a huge turnout anyway, especially for games that didn't involve Team Canada.

Canada's games, of course, were conveniently all scheduled for later in the evening, when most people were done work and could either attend or tune in. Not sure if ticket prices have come down though.

All of the boxscores on the IIHF website are wrong. Assists missing or given to the wrong player, goals given to the wrong player. There's 3 errors in the Czechia game yesterday and at least 1 error in the USA game.

This is a real black eye for Hockey Canada and the IiHF. These are Boston/1996 numbers!

They should have just cancelled and just promoted 2023 like normal.
