As an American who roots against Canada., i hate and fear just how good Bedard is. He's scary

Also look at Othmann back on the ice & not even putting on the full cage. Warrior.

McTavish scored ties the game. He will be a good player for the Ducks.

Othmann with the assist after the faceoff win

Othmann with an assist.
IIHF says Seeley gets an assist. That has to be wrong

Kent Johnson wow. This kid will be a solid player for the Bluejackets

btw can they play better music than the Red Hot Chili Peppers

2-1 Canada

play The Interrupters or Beastie Boys or Pennywise, Green Day, Rancid etc

What a wild period. That Czech goalie is playing unreal.

Othmann does need to work more on his skating but other than that I really like his game. He is not as flashy as his linemates but his IQ, skill and style of play is great.

Cuylle came back and made a great diving slide to slow down what was otherwise a 2 on 0. Allowed Garand the time to get across.

Canada has to be the favorite. US team is good but kinda small. BTW - Berard played well even if he didn't get on the scoresheet. He's def a pest.

I don't know if Chmelar can play hockey or not but he is another late round big dude with an edge. If this new crop of kids make the NHL and are effective, Rangers are going to go from being a fun likable young team to a team that really pisses off every other fanbase.

thought Othmann got a 2nd assist but it went to Thompson?

He did.

They will change it back.

McTavish wins the faceoff, Seeley passes it to Othmann, who passes it to Thompson who shoots and it goes in off of McTavish.

Goal: McTavish
Primary: Thompson
Secondary: Othmann

Seeley and Bedard the other 2 on the ice.

He had 65 pims last season.

You have a weird definition of a lot.
He does take too many...especially dumb ones. Sometimes he loses his cool but many penalties are also investments to piss off opponents and build his reputation. In any way, Othmann draws many more penalties than he takes himself. So while sometimes his penalties can be annoying I wouldn't try to coach it outta him. It's what he does and as we saw today, it's always gonna pay off sooner or later. Well, it didn't pay off for Canada but that wasn't Othmann's fault.

He was a penalty drawing machine everywhere he went. In Switzerland, at the WJC18 and in the OHL as well.

He just drew another one that allowed Canada to score a PP goal.

Is Mactavish the biggest beauty ever in the WJC? Pretty sure he is in the 15 or so years I've been watching.
