That is just ugly! Bad. I mean we have a bunch of guys out. We are missing 4 centers. But Dee and goalies are fine. People are missing opportunities!

Initial thoughts on that sweater are not positive. Seems like a quickly thrown together money grab to a fan base that will throw money at anything. Wasn't a fan of the last Alternate jersey either, though.

Yeah it absolutely seems like a quick money grab. They should have used the back to back championship jerseys they wore a few weeks back as their thirds for the rest of the year. Those were nicer looking

We braved the snow and drove up for that game. Those jerseys were very nice. Not nice enough for me to spend $185 on a sublimated replica, but still nice.

Somehow they look even worse on the online store. Dear God.

D.C. use to be referred to as Chocolate City. Remember when I first moved to the D.C. area in the mid 70s, it was not uncommon to see cars driving around in D.C. with Chocolate City bumper stickers, which of course were chocolate brown in color.

Miro hatty helps the Bears beat Bridgeport 5-4.

Shepard has given up three or more goals in six straight starts now. Thanks for the Cup runs but I'm ready to move on. I'd love to see Clay get the majority of the starts from here. He's already presumably getting 2 of 3 this week.

Broadcast didn't show it but the Islanders were apparently in the faces of the refs after the final horn (and, according to Fisch, Pinho gave them mock applause). They were bitching all game, but the straw that broke the camel's back? Chris Terry blatantly tripping Ethan Bear behind the net with 11 seconds left, prompting Terry to break his stick over Shepard's crossbar and go apeshit on the refs (and getting himself booted). Now, there was a very questionable instigator call on them in the second period that negated a powerplay. But is it the refs' fault that Bridgeport is far and away the most pathetic team in the AHL each year?

Yuck, 9-0 loss to Baby Pens! Team bad, but goaltending must have been bad too?! Not a good season for Stevenson/Shepard. Both have fallen off a cliff compared to last season.
The stats might not totally reflect it but I think Clay's really improved since December or so. I think he deserves a shot to be the guy next year if he continues to play well. Shep has totally fallen off though. I appreciate all he's done the last couple seasons but this year is definitely his last rodeo in Hershey. That said, I wonder if the Caps/Bears bring in a veteran goalie this summer to platoon with Clay instead of banking on Gibson or Bjorklund to be AHL caliber backups.

I was looking at the Bjorklund SC stats today and wondering about his future.

Nice to see the Bears healthy. Only Rybinski and Massie unavailable tonight. Aktell gone so defense (and callup eligible) got thinner. I wonder if there is someone on shelf they can sign. Or a European player to come over.

And with all that Bears are first in AHL in points and third in P%.

Yeah he let in an ugly one imo to let the isles get back in it after the quick 2-0 start.
