Lol at Barkov being invisable. You may have watched ONE game, and even then, your evaluation is agenda driven. Everyone knows this.

If you watched Finland, you would probably not been a hypocrite, and say there's more than points that dictate one's impact.

Hillarious.

He often looked tentative, and slow to react. He didn't dominate anytime he was on the ice. Other Finns were better, you need more proof. You said Barkov would have easily made Team Canada, based on what observation? Is he a better #3 C than Jenner is, or is this your bias getting in the way of being wrong again when you said Jenner was no big lost when he was suspended. Did you see his play today? Pretty good huh? You are not having a good day Ernie. Finland, Jenner, Kane....Shall we continue?

You keep bringing up Kane, and I stop trying to pay attention.

You honestly think I care in the end that Finland underachieved? Like it makes me look bad that something I had no control over happened?

Barkov is a better talent. He'll be an elite 1 or 2 C, no need to talk about being a 3C.

He wasn't invisible, and your comments prove you watched, at best, 5 minutes of his play. Might as well quit while you're not too far behind.

And for the record, none of the top 3 prospects have dominated this tournament. At all. But we'll come down on the foreign kid you choose to pick on this year.

Jenner, Danault and Ritchie were defensive stalwarts this game. Just watched the replay of them dominating a shift when they are on the ice in the TSN replay telecast. Without Jenner, Spott doesn't reconfigure the lines that obviously worked today.

What you are proposing is a line up for an all star game, not a team built for winning championships. Barkov would not have easily made this team as you claimed, he is not a checking forward at this point as Jenner and Mcneil are and he is certainly not at the level of RNH and Strome are. So obcourse you were wrong again, if Barkov was centring Ritchie and Danault and assigned to check and kill penalties against the Russians, no telling how many goals that line gives up.

Building a team is not like arranging hockey cards Ernie.

That's highly debatable.

Proof is in the pudding, you said the Finns had the talent to contend, apparently not.

Bob McKenzie tweeted that based off pre-tournament play and their players, Finland was easily a contender. Stop it.

Please educate me, oh professor.... lol

What a Joke. If you don't think Barkov makes it over McNeil, you can't be helped.

Ignore feature, he we come. There's no reasoning, because you couldn't make change outta common sense.

He was wrong then. I wasn't it since I never said they were contenders for the gold. For a bronze maybe, yes.

Mac also said the Jenner line dominated the game when on the ice, and Jenner coming back into the line up was a key.

So what did you say about Jenner when he was suspended? LOL

No big lost, easily replaced, he was a punk. Glad the experts are with me. Did you see his value today with him in the line up?

nobody thought they would win gold..... this point is continually missed in the quest for self-validation.

You thought they were contenders to win gold, I did not. You went on and on about them being an emerging power in hockey, loved how they played, they had talent. Barkov was elite.

Is this not accurate?

Again you made a point to say Finland was a contender to win gold, before any other prediction fresh off the pre tourney mirage. I didn't, that's the point you continually confuse or misdirect.

Now How about that useless Jenner, great contribution today, got the team Canada cape. What character.

ignore is a beautiful thing.

either way, it was disappointing to see the Finns exit early. More was expected, but I'm sure that nobody is more disappointed than they are. That's a young squad who will only be better next year, and play with a chip on their shoulder. I look forward to it.

That said, The hometown boys are looking strong, and have gotten better with every game. Couldn't be happier to see a full team effort. Without suspensions and injuries, this is a pretty good unit, despite whether or not I agree with the coach and many of his decisions.

As Al Davis always said: Just win, Baby!

Yeah... So I haven't been able to watch much of the tourney so far with work and family commitments, and came here hoping to get a good update on what's been going on. Instead, endless flame wars to have to wade through. Not sure why I bothered. :(

Nuchushkin impresses me so much I might even put him over barkov.

That's interesting debate I've thought about a bit.

Barkov seems like the obvious, But he's underwhelmed me to be honest to the point where I'm sort of concerned on how he'll adapt to NHL. Nickushkin on the other hand amazes me every time I see him. His first few strides and his speed for big kid are breathtaking.

The only worry I had was hockey sense and vision, But as I've seen him a bit more I'm less worried. He made very smart pass just before he ran Wotherspoon into boards.

A little bit of good, And a little bot of bad. But a lot of potential.
