Remember a lot of Kane's success on the stat sheets was because of his chemistry with his linemates. Drouin is skilled enough to put point totals like that with the right linemates IMO. To put a line with chemistry like that is no easy task though.

As for rielly he looks average today, last couple games he looked real good but today he is having an off game.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all . I'm saying projecting Drouin's NHL point totals for next year based on watching this one game on television might not be that useful.

I didn't think that larger sample sizes and in person viewings being really important in prospect evaluations were such controversial ideas.

I don't see a kid as dominant as Kane was at the same age, no. And I don't know how anyone can say they do. I saw Kane live more than most that don't live in London, as a Spits season ticket holder that year.

You can't spin it. There's no way Drouin produces points like that, not even with the "best prospect since Crosby" on his line. Kane was a machine.

Could be argued JMc. He is with Nate on the wing in halifax due to chemistry, but he can easily center their second line alone, which the coaches have decided against. He has still strength, defensive and conditioning to go before he hits the bigs.

Dude...I've been pumping Drouin since day one but he has not made impact similar to Kane in the juniors. Not even close. One is an NHL star and has established himself, however Drouin is still in the juniors and has quite a bit to go before he hits the bigs.

You don't think Rielly is going to be a star with the Leafs one day? This is not like saying a 2nd rd or low 1st is going to be a NHL star one day.

Jones, Mackinnon, Drouin are going to be NHL stars, anyone with an educated eye for hockey can project this. The only thing that needs to be identified is just how good, but I am comfortable saying they will be stars, and in some cases maybe elite stars. Hardly an exaggeration.

I doubt they have the same chemistry that Kost, Gagner, and Kane did. Most impressive line I've seen play in junior. With the right linemates players can put up crazy totals in junior.

Just to be clear I'm not saying Drouin is as good as Kane was. Kane was unbelievable. Drouin is great, but not Kane level.

Rielly needs to be on that top PP unit IMHO. How many games do we have to with Murphy getting zero, yes ZERO points with every chance to succeed.
