I'd think linking to an ESPN stream is OK ... they're being offered for free directly by the originator of the broadcast.

It's all the other streams that are off-limits (and there are so many of them these days...its great!)

Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm still using streams from the day game threads, back when I used to be a fairly regular poster.

When did they stop allowing them?

I can't remember if was last season or the season before. I do remember that they cracked down sometime within the last 2 years, though. (My account isn't that old, but I lurked for a long time and can remember back a few years).

Streams from legal sources should not be a problem.

I'm just curious, but what aspects of Josi's defensive game would you consider solid?

For starters, his skating is superb, which made the pilon comment even more confusing. He also has excellent hockey sense, and is constantly making smart, subtle defensive plays. He plays huge minutes, blocks shots like a champ, and is excellent at tying the opposition up in front.

There's a Players Tribune article where a player lists Josi as one of the toughest defebseman to play against. He's a beast.

You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but I have never seen anybody call Roman Josi a pilon, or anything close to it.

McDonagh gets beat around the edge again. Have not liked his game in own end. On the previous PK running around too much, pulling a classic Ranger move by being the 3rd man in the corner rather than staying in front of the net.

In the O zone he has been fine

Step had a nice goal on a semi breakaway. McD has looked like the worst defenseman for team USA tonight.

McDonagh is an event machine tonight. He's been on the ice for 28 total shot attempts so far at 5v5. There have been 63 in the game, so nearly half. Unfortunately, 17 of those 28 are shots against.

This is an instance of eye-test and stats aligning. He has not been good.

How much of McDonagh being bad is on him and how much is on Niskanen tonight? Though both have been not good individually in spurts, I guess.
