Attention fancystat chart critics: How does this do for you in terms of being able to acknowledge what is going on? I'm not really interested in how you feel about what is being presented here, and don't want to get into an argument about the value of shot attempts. I'd just like to know if this is a chart you could look at, understand what's going on, draw a takeaway, and move on from.
All feedback appreciated.
For me, yes. This is a chart that is easy to comprehend, and to use for simple comparisons/quick glimpses. Obviously, it's a SSS, but that's not the point here.
Maybe find a way to make the point for each player more obvious, but the general idea is good.
Fake. Can see the pixels.
Justin Abdullkader amirite?
Seriously though Stepan did look quite good to me.
Edit: LOL GLASS
SSS? Adding a point is an interesting idea. I'm unsure if it's necessary, but it's something I thought about while making the chart.
Stepan was good. McDonagh was an event machine.
Small Sample Size. Sorry for the shorthand
And yeah, I was just trying to think of something that could maybe make the location for each player more distinct than just a thin line.
I like how Stepan/McDonagh have been playing. Stepan more than McDonagh, but both have been good, so that's not really a big difference.
I'm not much of a chart guy (I like numeric tables ), but your chart is easy to understand. What would make it better would be to have the size of the players name (or something like that) signify TOI for the game. I know that would complicate the chart, but it would help put things in perspective.
What might be easier is to have a border around the name bubbles and have that color represent TOI. And then have the scale shown on the side or something.
Schneider looking bad on two of the three goals so far.

Like such?
I don't think Europe has the talent. This is going to be another ugly game for them.
Agreed. But, I gotta root for the Rangers on the ice
