Step looked involved and active, if not super accurate. McD looked too much like last season. A little passive and spectating.

McD did look kind of out of it and not really engaged but that's not even vaguely how he looked last season

e: most of the US D looked pretty bad at one thing or another though

Not watching but from the sounds of it Torts has his team roughing up NHL stars in an exhibition game for an exhibition tournament? So classic Torts

Exactly as it should be.

I'd hate to see a tournament like this played with an all star game mentality. That would be boring as f**k and would fail in its overall effort to be something the NHL and NHLPA want it to be.

Yeah, and we couldn't do much about all that either, huh?

Tampa has to trade Bish and cash in, his nominal value far exceeds his real value. Stevie Y is gonna get to rip off another GM.

I hope he instead decides to trade Vasilevskiy somewhere out West.

Yzerman is too good of a GM to do that though, I think. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't think you're wrong. No way Yzerman trades Vasilevski. The only thing we can (hope) for is that nobody is going to pay Tampa a king's ransom for Bish. And I'm certain some moron GM will.
