You are not the only one, but others keep saying this.

USA and Mexico are better quality sides. We have sexier attacking options, but the team as a whole is a tier below those teams.
If you go on player to player basis, ya, those two sides have better talent overall. But Davies and David are probably the two best players in all of CONCACAF

So yeah, we are a tier below those teams.

Having 1-2 quality players means totally squat in my eyes. Norway has arguable the best striker in the globe and that doesn't mean anything.

I don’t know if I agree with that. And sometimes the sexier attacking options masks the biggest difference. Not having to find a #9 at that level is huge.

Even if USA and Mexico are “better” Canada has absolutely closed that gap

Canada attack, USA midfield and Mexico defense would be a fun team

Disclaimer - not a life-long soccer guy. Really buying into it lately. Proud of Canada's effort.

In all three Canadian matches, I've found Miller to be weak defensively. Looks decent pace-wise, but his positioning and awareness seems to be targeted and exploited by opposing strikers.

Could be more decisive with the ball as well. Takes too much time evaluating distribution options, limiting space for his teammates when they receive his passes.

Put it this way since we are on a hockey forum. We are a team that has 2 good wingers on the top line with a meh top line center, shit bottom 9 and an awful blueline full of Gudbransons.

Not disagreeing about the last point.

Which is a lot better that it previously was. But Canada has two all stars in their prime. That helps a lot. Things are looking up

I'm hoping we can grab some dual nationality CB
It’s such a shame y’all couldn’t keep Tomori

Croatia look out of ideas and possibly gasoline. Courtois keeping them alive almost single handed to this point and now KDB is starting to take the game over

I don't really begrudge him that though. He's lived in England for as long as he can remember (until he moved to Italy, of course).
Yup. Not a Giuseppe Rossi-like move in my eyes.

In hindsight, I'm sure Tomori would have probably given the CMNT a chance.
