Automated offside technology will probably prove to be even less popular than the human refs. Plenty of absurd rulings when you have a machine that can only judge the situation based on the letter of the law, not the spirit of the law.
NopeMorocco going through. Pretty cool for them. First time?
It's not coming anytime soon, sadly. Maybe have to wait another generation or two..This back line
We need a solution within 3 years.

Herdman gotta go.
Thank you for bringing us this far, but if we want to reach another level, we need a next level manager. He has been a good cheerleader/recruiter, now, we need a real tactician with credibility to continue the job.
And, obviously, better development, especially defenders and midfielders.

It's because they count the shoulder as a body part that can be used for scoring, so the shoulder can be offside, but of course when the tip of the shoulder is offside by 0.5 cm that is completely irrelevant to the play itself.Even with the fancy graphic it looked like they were completely level, you would need a computer analysis of the computer analysis to see it
I don't think he is the problem. We just lack depth in many positions that will only take time to develop players for them. We are heading in the right direction and are definitely improving from where we were even 10 years ago. We just need patience.Herdman gotta go.

you have to wonder how different this group looks if Canada beats Belgium. Felt losing that game and Herdman’s Howard Dean moment ruined that team; but if they would have (deservedly) won, Canada May have had something to play for today. But of a shame, but that Belgium game ripped their heart out

This is what happens when bureaucrats decide these things who only care about things being 'technically correct' not whether it's actually good for the game.
Yes, he lost me in the last week or so.
I’m saying with a win, his comments would have mattered less; or maybe he doesn’t feel the need to say it. That was his Howard Dean scream. Didn’t work out for Dean either and that’s all I could think of at the time. 3 points would have given them a chance to go through today; it’s clear they are just going through the motions knowing they are already out.You think with a win he wouldn't have made those comments and stuck his foot in his mouth? Honestly it would've been huge, but I don't think these latter two games would've gone any different as a result. It would be a bit heartbreaking getting the 3 points and not going through, but it wouldve been huge to have a WC win
The comment is nothing. Tabloid fodder at best. It made us look like clowns, but it is certainly not the reason why we lost.I think the comments were overblown. It's not like Croatia came out and stomped Canada from the get go. Canada were the better team for the first 10-15 minutes. Then Croatia's midfield took over and it was a spanking.
If Croatia was truly motivated/upset with the comments it wouldn't have taken then 15 minutes to get going.
