Daily Curling Update :

I need to STOP sleeping in. Not only did the Men's hockey team lose to Sweden, our Women's curling team lost to China - they just will NOT make it easy on themselves. Grrrrr.

Japan may end up 5-4 and Canada lost to them.

There are 2 other teams capable of being 5-4. Canada has beaten both so, I assume, and I don't know the tie breakers so I might be wrong, Canada will be in the playoffs with a win against Denmark.

If they lose to Denmark, they deserve to be out.

For Canada to qualify for the playoffs, Canada needs to win AND ONE of the following needs to happen...

* Japan Wins
* GB and Korea both win
* GB and Korea both lose

Otherwise, they will be drawing shots - and that is a lousy way to win or lose.

Can't wait for the women's hockey gold medal game tonight. It is one of the most consistently entertaining rivalries in sports and tonight's game could easily go either way.

No body checking in women's hockey and yet there was more hitting in the FIN/SUI game than any Sabres game this season.

The ice was even more tilted in this game than it was in the FIN/JPN game. If I'm CZE or JPN, my message would be that we're right there with Russia and Switzerland.
