I've been impressed by draft eligible Sykora's energy game. Good on the PK too. Not sure if he has any offensive upside.

Worst part: ZERO looks for our best forward prospect since Gaborik. Dvorsky has become the most under-utilized forward. Our coaching is brutal

You know I agree, but I can see how playing the 16 years old in a crucial situation might piss off the vets.

And the team has to stay together to beat the teams in its weight class: that was the goal this year, 5th or 6h position, so that a medal is in range next year.

It’s not the living in Montreal. It’s the working for the Canadiens that may prove difficult. He’s known to be very shy and avoid the limelight. Montreal would have it on him and his family 24/7, that’s the concern I’d see vs working for the Ducks and living happily in anonymity.
maybe he could sign with the Habs but lives in Anaheim :toothless

Interesting that Sykora was out there during the 5 on 3. I thought he had a very strong game but he doesn't have the draft hype of the other 17 year olds on the team.

Starting to think of Slafkovsky with Caufield.

Imagine if he was physical how dominant he could be. He would just be prefect at creating space and setting up his teammates.

With the talent he has I can understand that he never needed that side and that he might never be that nasty type of player. Not asking for Wilson but a bit like Tkachuk or Svechnikov. If he starts going to the net, he will be unstoppable.

Edmonton should have tried to trade up to get Wallstedt. He's tremendous. He was picked @ 20. Oilers had pick 22.

Good for Minnesota though. Goalie of the future for them. They're going to be good for quite a long time once they add him.

Svechnikov ain’t physical much, Slaf is in the same style. However, it’s hard not to be a bit physical when you are 6’4

Really looking forward to watching Cooley today. He's one of my top choices for our pick. I really wouldn't mind having another 2 way 60-70 point centre (I think Suzuki will become one in the next couple of years).

It's really too bad regarding Jiricek as I enjoyed watching him the first period against Canada. You can tell all the tools and toolbox are there, just gotta continue coaching him.

''Who will NP draft? A goalie or a sex offender?''

...I'll take the sex offender.

In Bergevin and Timmins defence though, he's was probably the best sex offender available in the draft.

No, I've been told that we don't actually need his skills.
Not enough personality and charisma, need someone with bigger biceps or diversified. On top of that, he has too much experience, won’t be able to complement Gorton well, what the habs need is another inexperienced GM, preferably with long hair.

Sourdif got a one game suspension for that penalized hit he made against Czechia. Kind of surprised refs never reviewed it. It was definitely to the head.

Won't play tonight
