That was an excellent period by Slovakia. Both Slafkovsky and Nemec were outstanding. Both playing much better than they did in 1st game.

Petrovsky is going to climb fast after this performance. He was excellent against US and is playing just as well tonight. Plays in Owen Sound (OHL) has 20 points in 25 games.

Dvorsky is like a Slovakian Toews. Two-way force.

Don't forget Mesar who's an excellent skater and very smart. He keeps plays alive and stresses the defense.

Can't say he improved his stock thus far, would say he's stable. When you come to the WJC as a first-rounder, there are some expectations of performance, just showing up doesn't do it.

I thought Sykora looked strong too...working hard and winning lots of battles. Of course most of Slovakia's lineup had a great 1st period.
