This whole Covid thing is a joke. Probably no symptoms for anyone, vaccine working just fine but gotta flag everything now. One sniffle on someone during cold and flu season and you have to stop the world. Brutal

Also, half those rapid tests later test negative on the legit ones. Joke.

I can't believe i'm saying it but I like what the NFL is doing in regards to covid testing. NHL should follow them imo

I'm not sure why they didn't have Taxi squads from the start...

They sort of do. Each team brought 25 players. 3 goalies, 8D & 14F in case of this situation. Normally it's 23 players.

If it is a US goalie, they have 2 others to go to, and extra skaters. Hopefully, no one else tests positive or their WJC could be severely screwed.

However, it's because of this there is no relegation this year. USA could be out before quarters.

Terrible news really.

Not true at all.
Gallagher said he was really sick the first 2 days after catching covid, and that other habs players are experiencing similar symptoms.

Svechnikov ain’t physical much, Slaf is in the same style. However, it’s hard not to be a bit physical when you are 6’4

To be honest, I don’t agree with you on that take. Svechnikov is definitely a physical player in my book. He fights along the boards, can dish out hits, cuts to the net, he isn’t afraid of scuffles, slashes player and sometimes even loses his temper.

Thats what I’d like to see from Slafskovsky. He showed he could be in some situation, but I’d love to see him show that he “is physical” not just “can be physical”.

He could still be a really good player regardless, and I agree that at his size he might develop a bit of it because it would be unusual for a player this size. If adds that depth, he’s for sure an impact player.

I do believe that they would…if they did not have Canadian teams. I think that our public health officials are very strict. No strict protocol = no play in Canada. And no play in Canada = no pesos for the US welfare teams.

Fair enough, I was talking about Svechnikov at the same age.

That's fine, T'as le droit

Feels too much like people are "forcing" themselves to wish he's this big superstar but..

However, it's also not like Mr. Wright is doing himself favors right now to be #1 either
I'm good with anyone picked 1-7 honestly, we shouldnt stray too much from that goldilocks spot with the garbage team/coach atm

I don’t think anyone here is seeing Slaf has a superstar. All of these guys look flawed in some ways right now. The contrast with the top 3 in 2023 is significant.

Remember when getting a bad cold or a bad flu during the winter was considered totally normal? What are we afraid of again? I mean you wouldn't want it to spread to the whole team obviously...
