Better draft big really good defensive skilled players because that it what this league that cannot call interference penalties especially in the playoffs is all about now. Back to its old ways again minus the clutching and grabbing.. Massive interference going on everywhere.

Everybody knows they will pick the most random one.
I can see Yager, Reinbacher, Wood, and Barlow being there, and we take Samuel (another one) Honzek.

Aka, I would just trade the pick if the first four are gone. We have no business taking guys like Honzek with our track record drafting lately.

When can we start making rumours that Cooley is going to play all 4 years and then will sign with the Pens? Like Matthews with Arizona.
It may have been a draft thing with Cooley, but he was pretty vocal that he was not a Pens fan growing up.

And made it a point to say he was an Ovechkin fan.
Wouldn't that be a kick in the balls. Cooley signs in Washington after hosing Arizona. That would be one foot in the pits for this franchise.

If they could lure him though, that would basically reignite this franchise.

Indeed. And yeah I’m not saying he doesn’t like Ovie but it was during draft time and it seemed like to me at the time that he was just trying to distance himself from Crosby as in a “I’m my own player” kind of way.

Pittsburghish
I’m sure Ovie will play until he’s 65 if it takes that long to break the goal record, so Cooley can wait play with him in his last year.

The EP draft guide comes out on the 5th or something like that. I'll be buying it if anyone has anything specific they'd want me to look up.
Cool thanks.

I’d like to see what they have written about Barlow and Yager specifically. And also the battle between Reinbacher and ASP.

Reinbacher will probably be in the top 10 now...

I'm leery of drafting a D. This team isn't very good at it. They've drafted exactly 2 top 4 D since 2005. Plus the system is completely void of forward talent. At least on D you might have Smith and Pickering.
