Yes, to play against real teams like Burnley to cement his legacy.
Not about legacy. Messi’s legacy is air tight. To me it’s like when Cristiano Ronaldo went to Juventus. It’s boring it’s not a challenge. If you are leaving a Real Madrid or a Barcelona it’s not exactly heroic to go to another front runner. I think it would certainly be a lot more interesting if Messi went to Leeds than a PSG/Man City/etc. Its not going to happen and it’s not an insult either.

I mean you can try that in Fifa... but in the real world players move to big teams to cement their legacies not the other way around.

1. I am never buying FIFA again
2. They aren’t moving big club to big club to cement legacies. They move big club to big club to cement their endorsements. There is a difference.

Then and there
Lots of teams (including the two Manchester teams) are after Boubaca Kamara from Marseille.
There might be a possibility to sign him this winter since OM are going to lose Thauvin for nothing next summer and they need money with zero european competition in the spring.

What do you think is his best position now/position going forward? I think all the games I've seen from Marseille this season, he has played (defensive) midfield. IIRC, he used to play CB a lot more in previous seasons.

However you want to look at it.... moving to a small team is crazy talk.

Wouldn't Ascacibar have to have been good at some point to be a legend now?
He was good just got injured and played on shit teams. He might be able to salvage his career but needs to get healthy and play some games.

Why not? Leeds used to be one of the best clubs in England and if they finally have the right direction could get back to that quickly. Leeds will be finishing this season somewhere around 10th, not a European spot but close, probably not to far off of Arsenal so similar to a traditional top 6 club. You say he'll be too good for Leeds soon but which club is a step up outside of City and Liverpool? I don't think Spurs or Chelsea are in on him so that leaves the United, Arsenal and Leicester types and I think Leeds can be on that level soon.

This all applies to Aston Villa, too, but the real nuts and bolts of it is that the Big 6 are rather ahead in terms of revenue.

That's a good question and people are split on this.
I still like him better at CB, but yeah, he's mainly played DM (with excellent results).

To me, he has higher upside at CB. DM nullifies some of his qualities. As a DM, he's more of an anchor, and I like him better with a defensive partner.

I was just teasing
it would be like barca but worse. Nothing is fun about the way they play now

Which is why he should go learn to have fun from Kruse while forming the world's greatest striking partnership :yo:

I understand the desire for a central defender, and I expect Liverpool will kick the tires but be put off in cost. But I also would want to see about setting up the groundwork for a midfielder assuming Gini is walking for nothing, and with Keita / Ox and maybe Thiago basically always hurt. Henderson and Milner aren’t getting younger, and while Jones seems to be able to make the grade, if you don’t buy a defender, you’re a player light, considering how many minutes Fabinho was expected to take in midfield. Phillips and Rhys Williams are a bonus, but I think they were a player light at the start and that hasn’t changed. I think a Klavan style might be more of the measure of the day for defense if it came down to it, though they want to go younger it seems. Might make sense with Virgil not young at this stage, and Matip similar. But I think there’s an argument to make about a midfielder and then use Fabinho as cover.

Benfica wants to buy Reggie Cannon, who plays for Boavista. The rumored price was 12M Euros. Cannon's the best RB in the Portuguese top division and Benfica's weakest position right now is RB, so it does make some sense. Boavista has gotten some inquiries already for Cannon, who joined in the summer. They've turned all of them down so far.

I think the idea when Cannon joined Boavista was that he was probably above this level and he was biding his time until Lille (same ownership as Boavista) purchases Cannon next summer or the one after, but they might've underestimated how well Cannon would play. If a good enough offer comes in and Cannon doesn't want to wait, he might be sold before Lille can sign him. Cannon's also arguably the starting the RB for the USMNT. He's a very good player. Only 22, and a very reliable RB already.

That’s why you get a guy like Ben White that can do both.

That would be a great move for Cannon to Benfica.

Haven't watched him in a month, has he played up to Aulas psychotic 60 million pound fee yet?

- Bild reporting that Bayern pulled away their deal for Alaba and as of now he's set to leave as a free which has intrigued Chelsea.

- If Messi leaves for PSG, Barca will go in for Haaland.

- Arsenal will put in a 60 million bid for Konate in winter.

- Saliba could be joining Nice on loan for the rest of the season.

- Atletico Madrid looking at Milik.

Real will have first dibs on Dortmund players. We have a great working relationship with them. This has been strategic by Florentino. Dortmund and Barca relations aren’t great after the Dembele saga, and some youth players of theirs we’ve signed like Gomez and Morey.

I guess. I just think if you’re gonna spend as much as he would cost, spend it on someone better.
I mean you are buying English tax and buying on upside which is kind of necessary if he is a top target. I’m more comfortable with it because he can play two positions so you are kind of getting two for one there. If you want to keep Rhys Williams in the team and find minutes for White at 6, that is even better. If Wijnaldum goes, Liverpool are suddenly very thin at that anchor role. No way Grujic plays under Klopp again after slamming Adrian either.

He was injured for quite a while, suspended after a red card and in conflict with his coach.

But he's still doing porn football every time he touches the ball.

Can’t wait to be rid of these two. Sell him to China. Or Saudi Arabia. Get a huge check and not have to compete ever. Put a shift in for the French NT a few times a year and just cruise the rest.
