No doubt. My fault.

Wally, was thinking of you the other day when guys were whining about the shortage of truckers. Ya, I kinda know someone who's been ringing that bell for a decade.

Lighter note. Hummingbird landed on my shoulder today while I was reading. Hadn't happened in a few years. They used to land on my book. Tough to fight the urge to look at it so close but knowing if you turn your ear - it's gone.

That is so cool about the hummingbird! I have had them come close and hover in front of me, they are very curious little guys. I swear they remember our feeder, they arrive in May and if I haven't put it up yet, they hover around the windows, then go back to where it usually hangs, like they are telling us to hurry up and feed them.

It really is cool. I always read outside so barely moving. First time it's happened at our new house, was at a different spot in my yard, but where I used to sit at the old place, and with all the flowers, they'd hover in front of me often but it was those few times that they'd land on the spine of the book I was holding and stay there for a good few seconds that'd make me feel like a little kid.

we do the mail in. I dropped us off at the town hall box yesterday.
Love that option here.
Since I have no clue about this.....so the states that have drop off concerns, are they just along the road like a PO box? Seems like having it in a place like a town hall is a much better idea

couldnt tell you. Here in my town its in front of town hall. Has security cameras 24-7 .
As well as the police station shares the parking lot. The buildings are side by side.

yesterday afternoon, 10 minutes from the time I left my house to the time I got back. Early voting is the best.
Took me about an hour from work, there, and back. Longer line than I expected but moved fairly quickly all things considered. Nice to see a good turnout. Poll worker said they had been busy like that every day.

yea I dont think we have the same ballot drop box issues in New England as other parts of the country. Every town hall has one, including mine which is a slot in the wall of the building. I guess in parts of the country that are all county based it get more controversial?

One of the many reasons to live where we live!
I am voting in person on Tuesday. In 2020 I mailed it in.

My town is the same. Not sure about these other states, but I can't understand why they allow anyone to sit around or near a site for dropping off ballots, under the guise of ensuring anything. They're not elected officials, and they shouldn't be anywhere near the drop boxes, let alone wearing tactical gear and brandishing guns of any sort. That just seems to be way over the top to allow, IMO. No politics around it either, just common sense. People aren't going to go to a location like that because of the implied threat of violence. It's insanity.

Mine is at the library and across the street from the firehouse and next to a bank and CVS.

Dropped mine off Monday morning and city hall had it accepted by 5pm that day.
