The Wings probably didn’t need to trade up for it either. With the teams at 15 to 23, the only one that needed a goalie in that range was Edmonton.
I’d be pretty careful with that assumption. Moving forward or back that early in the draft almost always comes with draft floor intel about your target.

Tuomisto has been abysmal today, turnover machine and soft defensively. Also way to slow. He's a bust
I was just about to add how horrible he's been. Turnover machine, as you said, who allowed Michigan to tie it. The wind up for the one-timer looked like it was at 1/4 speed on a dvd.

Time to watch the Great Exodus out of Ann Arbor. Odds on Luke Hughes leaving for the Devils? He shouldn't but I think he will.

The big 4 and probably Bordeleau and Brisson will probably be gone for next season. It'll be an interesting rookie class for 2022-23 for sure. So many of the top 10 guys from 2020 and 2021 are going to either make their debut or become full timers.

Outplayed most of Michigans top players. Has Kent Johnson even been playing?
I thought Johnson had some really nice moments keeping possesion for UM....way more noticeable than Beniers tonight.

Back on point: Buium had a quietly good game. He played a very mature game for a freshman in a high pressure situation.

Here's that Tuomisto shot.

I'd love to send this kid back to Tyler Wright.

As a Wings prospect I just want him to have success and develop. He had a rough go of it yesterday and certainly hasn't had a great season. It doesn't help us to have him flame out. People are far too obsessed about Tyler Wright around here.

I thought Mazur was strong as usual. He is by far the best of our prospects in Denver. I won't be shocked if he has a better pro career than Savoie or Brink. If anything it is probably the most likely outcome.

I want Tuomisto to succeed and be a good pro. I’m not expecting him to succeed, though. He hasn’t improved since his d+1.

Tuomisto just looks like he has concrete skates. Does not look like a good enough skater for the pro level. He got passed up on the defensive charts by everyone in Denver too. Not looking good.
