Yzerman is in the building scouting the Michigan/Colgate game. I have to imagine he’s going to try to lock Gylander up this weekend if Colgate loses.

Welp, it was fun while it lasted. Absolute shelling in the past 5 mins!!

Poor Gylander....got Patty Wahhed....at least he handled it better.

8 goals allowed in 37 minutes (7 of those were on the last 12 shots he faced) and Gylander finally gets the hook. Not a great showing, but he did look real sharp in the 1st (16 saves on 17 shots) and a lot of those goals he didn’t really have a chance on.

Colgate player butt-ends Samoskevich, gets kicked out of the game, backup goalie allows 3 goals in first 3 minutes of the PP, and now Gylander..... is back in!

This game was kind of destined to be a complete shitshow. I think we’re seeing the results of the B1G teams taking advantage of the recent ncaa transfer/NIL changes to assemble fully functional battlestations, when you take into account the results of the UMin, OSU, and PsU games

Edit: results of the 4 games I referenced:
B1G: 36
Opponents: 4 (FOUR)

We have his rights until June 2024, so we have some time
If we don't sign him now, there's a high probability we never do. Not many kids play their senior year in NCAA and then sign with the team that drafted them.

Per his coach, it was basically confirmed this week that Mastrosimone will not be signing with Detroit, which is what a lot of us expected after he transferred to ASU last summer.

Winged Wheel podcast the other day mentioned that Cooper Moore has entered the transfer portal and is leaving North Dakota after 3 years there. Feels like another Mastrosimone situation; transfer for your senior year and then sign with whoever you want after that. Mentioned here as well.....

Junior defender Cooper Moore, the last one remaining, entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday.

UND to turn over its entire defensive unit

As for North Dakota, there's this....

All eight blue liners from the 2022-23 team are now gone.

Three were fifth-year seniors with expiring eligibility — Chris Jandric, Ryan Sidorski and Ty Farmer. They've all signed pro deals. Jandric is with the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans, Sidorski with AHL Milwaukee and Farmer with ECHL Allen (Texas).

Two signed pro deals — junior Tyler Kleven, who will make his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, and senior Ethan Frisch, who is playing for the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League.

The other three entered the transfer portal — Moore, Luke Bast and Brent Johnson.

That's wild, I've never seen that in college hockey.

He could have signed anywhere though if he had just stayed at NoDak too. I thought he looked pretty good this year. He is a very good skater with reasonable size, I never thought of him as being in the dog house.

This new transfer portal is crazy. I would hate to be a DI coach in this day and age
