Don't say that too loud. Some folks think since we have Mo and Hronek, we don't need anymore RD in the system.
Both of them just need solid pairing. Don't know about Seider, but Hronek should be with Edvinsson. We just have healthy competition between our ld prospects

Also we should probably start thinking about which one of our defenseman are gonna switch over to being RD lol. We have so many good LD prospects and no RD ones, it hurts.

We have that another A.Johansson, who has right handness.

Just started playing Top4 minutes at SHL, today. He has had 9 min average before.

How many has done that as 18-year old, having 18:36min IT ? Edvinsson?

At same age, Wallinder was at swedish 2nd level. Albert Johansson was at juniors.

OMG - a small sample size. :o

Speaking of prospects you barely get updates from:
  • Mastrosimone is a point per game player in the NCAA
  • Moore being half a point per game player in the NCAA as a defender
  • Gylander having a 2.35 GAA and a save percentage of .918%
  • Bednar is not even playing anymore, last game was from October 2022. Demoted to a third string goalie. Bit of a bust
  • Aucoin doing nothing in the NCAA, 2 points in 22 games
  • Draper with 1 point in 23 NCAA games (nepotism pick)
  • Bradley with 19 points in 30 NCAA games (it is almost criminal that there is no hype for him. A 7th round pick by the way)

Nice mid/late round pick update. I hope Mastrosimone, Moore and Gyrlander gets signed, GR could use new depth pieces next season going in with the new coaching staff. Bradley has definitely flown under the radar this whole year, you're post is probably first the one where he is ever mentioned during this season. Im gonna add few names more to the list.

Dylan James, 11 points in 27 games. Im not a NCAA expert but ain't that quite decent numbers for a freshman(correct term?)?

Maximillian Kilpinen, 19-years old and still in the juniors and not really blowing the bank there either. Bit concerning, but i believe he had some sort of injury(shoulder?). Perhaps the rehabilitation wasn't very successful but in that age he should be in Allsvenskan at least.

Tnias Mathurin, been injured whole year. Only 1 game played, maybe next year then.

Owen Mechelbacher, was traded to Fargo in February 1. In Fargo 7 points in 5 games, In total 31 points in 36 games and was a captain in Muskegon before he was traded. Fargo is leading the league, next year Mehlenbacher is going to Wisconsin.

Brennan Ali, 28 points in 36 games. His first full year in USHL, Ali is going to Notre Dame next year.

Red Savage, 10 points in 25 games in Ohio. Played 7 games and scored 6 points in WJC, won the bronze medal. His 2nd year in college, scored 15 points in 35 games during his 1st year in NCAA. Turns 20 in May, so he could get signed in the summer.

Liam Dover-Nilsson, "LDN" was loaned to Västerås in Allsvenskan from Frölunda and he has scored 12 points in 26 games. Earlier played 22 games in Frölunda, scored only 5 points but his role was small. His development seems to be on the right track.

Oscar Plandowski, one of the weirdest picks during the Yzerman-era. Undersized in Yzerman's standarts and not particular skilled, playing his 4th year in QMJHL. Started the the season in Drummondville and was traded to Moncton and has scored 14 points in 51 games. Before this season he played 3 years in Charlottetown, 60 games and 12 points during his 1st year, 39 games and 17 points during his 2nd year there and 2 points in 8 playoff games. In his last year in Charlottetown he scored 17 points in 64 games and 1 goal in 15 playoff games. Not worth to sign but im told he is a good skater, so maybe as a skating coach he has a shot to part of a NHL team.

Pasquale Zito, started the season in Niagara and then was traded to North Bay. In total 34 points in 40 games. Turns 20 in June, i would sign him. At worst he is a new "Dominick Shine" for the Griffins.

Theodor Niederbach, started the season in Rögle where he struggled and then he was loaned to Modo. In Modo he has has scored 12 points in 26 games, things are looking better but he still have lot of work ahead.

Sam Strange, 4th round pick in 2020 draft. 3rd year in Wisconsin, 8 points in 29 games. Last year he scored 11 points in 37 games and during his 1dt year 7 points in 29 games. 21-years old but not worth to get signed, maybe after next year Griffins could sign him AHL deal.

Antti Tuomisto, 18 points in 51 games in Liiga. Not bad actually, tied with Teemu Kivihalme as highest scoring d-man in the team. I would wait and see what he can do next year.

Albin Crewe, 34 games and 11 points in Allsvenskan. D+4, bust.

Ethan Phillips, 4th year in Boston. 7 points in 18 games. Not worth to sign, there is 13 players like Phillips in a dozen. NCAA -> ECHL -> Europe -> retirement is his path.

Gustav Berglund, D+4 and he plays in the league which named after a snus brand. Bust.

Ryan O'Reilly, 14 points in 32 games in Arizona. Wait a year then look if he is worth of contract.

John Adams, started in Union College. Played there 3 years, the moved to Providence were he played 1 year and now he is playing his 2nd(!) year in Note Dame. He sure loves being in school, i doubt he plays any pro hockey. Hamster wheel awaits.

Joren Van Pottelberghe, Yes Red Wings still owns his rights. Suffered a serious injury and apparently was close to retire but he didn't retire. 2 games in NLA and 4 games in 2nd tier league SL, turns 26 in the summer. NHL ship has sailed.

Moore is the one that sticks out to me. He is quietly putting together a solid season on a team that can't find its footing this year. As mentioned by @SantosHalper , Dylan James is not exactly lighting it up. I'm puzzled about how the wheels came off the bus in Grand Forks this year.

Geez I know a lot of those updates were on mid to late picks but there’s some serious busts and lack of development amongst that lot. I know it’s the same story of every team but yikes.

The important thing is that most of the 1st and 2nd round guys are turning out.

The mid/late guys that are developing are usually crapshoots but Savage, LDN, Lombardi, and Anton Johansson look like they could be something. Then we have Elmer looking solid on top of that.

Mastrosemone , don't forget about him, surprisingly he is one of the best at faceoff , he might be heading to GR.
