For those in the know, how good is the J20 Nationell ? Kilpinen has 28 points in 39 games in the league, how does that translate to the next level up?

I just noticed that Tyutyayev has the 4th highest points/game in the East Coast league (two of the players above him have played less than 10 games combined).

Obviously it’s the 3rd tier league but it’s good to see.

That is not encouraging production for your +1 season. Happy birthday to the kid, though.

Kilpinen looks like the kind of guy who will be a fair to middling SHL/Liiga player when he's in his mid 20s. Probably not an NHLer but he was worth the gamble.

Kilpinen absolutely passes the eye test, at least for me. But yeah, his production sucks. Really needs to step up next season.

Same. But that production in J20 for a big guy that can skate like he does is...ugly. I worry about the success of a player down there if they can't crack the top 20 scoring in their D+1.

Maybe he'll be a late bloomer?

Toledo seems to be the hottest team at ECHL.

8 wins and 17 points from last 10 games.

Total season turnaround, they were abysmal at season start.
And if you go even further it's 13 wins in 16 games. Interestingly they've started alternating Cossa & Lethemon in net, even more so in the past 12 games where they've swapped every single game. During the 16 game hot streak:

Cossa 8 games, 27.3 shots/game, 0.908 save-%, 2.50 goals/game
Lethemon 8 games, 28.6 shots/game, 0.965 save-%, 1.00 goals/game (zero losses actually, pretty impressive)

Edit. Also Tyutyayev 25 pts in those 16 games (4+21)

Buchnelikov is such an interesting prospect, he’s just so dynamic, but it’s hard to gauge what he could become because of his body size and because he is Russian.

Also we should probably start thinking about which one of our defenseman are gonna switch over to being RD lol. We have so many good LD prospects and no RD ones, it hurts.
