Edmonton seems to be dominating this series so far in terms of SOG, 131-70 after 3 games. I though Winnipeg was supposed to be the favorite and especially on offense?
They control possession pretty well and mitigate shots from outside. They give up a lot of odd man rushes though, and a lot of those shots come on the power play.
Matt Savoie also didn’t play for Winnipeg last night. I saw mention that Winnipeg is a heavy favorite, I get that but I think it’s a pretty even match-up.
I said that Winnipeg is likely the favorite because they were the top seed in the WHL and led the league in goals for, goals against, and obviously goal margin by a pretty substantial spread.
Led the league in goals for by 19
Led the league in goals against by 24.
They scored 165 more goals than they allowed. The next closest was Edmonton at 113.
Pretty clearly Winnipeg should be the favorite statistically speaking, although Edmonton did win 3 of their 4 regular season matchups between the two teams. All 3 wins came with Cossa as the starter, the one loss he did not start.
You're probably rightI'm guessing the Rangers are there to watch Othmann? Maybe Will Cuyle, who's another of their guys. Seems like a perfectly good reason to watch the game.
7-0 after 2. Complete domination.
Finished with 19 Saves in the 7-1 Series Clinching W.
12-1 1.97 GAA .909 SV% 3 SO so far... Pretty Good
Well normally it will always look a little worse than it actually is... Edmonton doesn't give up a ton of shots so he has to be nearly perfect to keep looking good lolGood for Cossa. He needs to improve on his .909 save percentage though considering he is only playing at the junior level.
