You are way overestimating Cleveland as a prospect. He's a poor mans Mike McKee with worse offense. Oscar Molgaard was right there for the taking

I suggest the chicken salad.

We will have no more negative discussion on a player who will develop into a rock solid PK, 3rd pairing D'man who strikes fear into the opponent. So let it be posted, so let it be done.

Dylan James has some nice attributes sure, but is he actually any good? His stats are pretty ordinary. A high enough pick that he really should be doing better to justify his selection.
UND fan here. I think his floor is a pretty good career on the fourth line and regular pk duty. Maybe middle six if he can get a little more refined with the puck. He's fast with a good motor and decent hands. Like, really fast at the college level, which does have a lot of future NHL players in it. To me, that makes for a perfect fourth liner on a contender.

The commentators of the UND/Denver game last night called James an "elite penalty killer". So, there's that at least.

Whenever you talk to someone who watches James play, they seem to talk more highly than the hockeydb page would indicate. I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up playing some NHL games in a PK/forecheck kinda role

Mazur may surprise us all. I think he’s got it in him to be a Blake Coleman type of two way winger.
I’m not one to “claim” prospects, but I’ve been very high on Mazur from very early on. He’s a gamer with underrated skill. Upside to me is a Bert-type but even better because he’s more complete of a player. This is all to say that Mazur really can’t surprise me. My expectations are dangerously high. I’m setting myself up to be hurt, I know it, but until then I’ll keep shooting my mouth off in regards to Mazur.

I was a bit surprised by the pick at first but man am I glad we made it. I think he’s got Bert’s scrappiness but I think he’s better at everything Bert was at the same age. And his defense is probably the best part of his game.

At the Seahawks/chiefs game rn. Anyone wanting production is going to be pleased with Danielson picking up assists just tossing it around on the Pp.

Lol, my sister lives in Spokane and is at the game too. I told her to scout Danielson, but she’s not a hockey person, so I’m glad someone else is there

Was checking the prospects who we have to sign by seasons endor we lose they're rights. what's everyone's thoughts on niederbach? Guessing hes done but hes 22 next month so wouldn't totally be against giving him a look for a year in g.r

I know we're good in nets now with cossa and Augustine but since I expect gylander to walk wouldn't be against keeping bednar around since goalies develop later and hes 22 only in August

Guessing everyone else is gone. If I'm yzerman I sign savage and buium right away and not take the chance one walks in 2025

Bust, he hasn't improved at all imo.

And speaking of Hanas, probably the biggest disappointment this season. Last year he started well 17 points in 30 games but then got injured for rest of the season. Now he has 7 points in 32 games, on a pace of 14 points in 65 games. Rough season, i wonder if the injury still effecting his play.

Not sure about the injury, but one thing that still affects his play is his skating :naughty:

Ya your right niederbach has been a disappointment, wouldn't be against trying him in g.r for a season though if he sucks send him back

As for Hanas ya hes been a disappointment as well and been pretty much on the 4th line all season I believe... with the likes of kasper danielson berggren soderblom mazur yet to even make the team id have 0 issues throwing him in a deal as at this point hes going to have a really hard time to ever crack the lineup

I've thought NHL player for a very long time, then when he played world juniors he really showed some high upside. I wouldnt be surprised if he was a 1st line winger or a fourth line winger to be honest but I think he falls nicely in the middle. I would be surprised if with his play style, he doesnt have a 20 goal season at some point.

I've heard Ottawa was pushing hard for him in the Debrincat trade and Detroit told them to pound it

We have Edvinsson and Berggren clearly NHL players, who do they replace, I hope it's not Sprong, Fisher or Ghost.
