Outside of players taken in the top 2, the Kraken have 26 NHL man games played in the history of the franchise. What point are you trying to make and what in god's green earth does fan approval have to do with quality of draft pick?

Follow up question: If fan approval matters, what percentage of Red Wings' fans do you think have heard of Oskar Fisker-Molgaard?
Do you not recognize getting any NHL games since 2021 outside of the top 10 is actually quite good? We have exactly zero in that time frame, and most other teams are at zero too. “In the history of the franchise” is a weird way to phrase it lol.

Ugh. The measure of draft success is using players to win NHL hockey games. He used Seattle as his example of draft success. Using Seattle as an example of draft success when they have no NHL players is silly.

I don't care if you liked a guy in lesser leagues and he continues to have success in lesser leagues. The draft is for the NHL

Well our drafted players outside of the top 10 are currently not helping us win any hockey games, going back almost a full decade to Larkin as the last example. So not sure that it helps your point. Our post 1st round drafting sucks big time given the amount of draft capital we have had.

I'd agree with that.

I looked up OFM, because I never heard of him. I look at his stats before he was drafted and I think to myself, "holy hell, those are great stats, this seems like a good pick". When we drafted Cleveland, I looked at his stats and I thought to myself "Holy hell, this guy sucks. I guess he's big, so that's cool. Not happy with this pick".

I have never watched either of these players, nor have I heard of Cleveland and OFM at the time of the draft (didn't know about OFM, until this exact moment). One player gets me excited, the other is a f***ing bummer.

I don't know how to fly a helicopter, but if I saw one stuck in a tree, I know someone f***ed up.

That was me, I got the controls mixed up. AGAIN!

I mean, what is location, really
Well, that sucks. But Liam Dower-Nilsson has quietly had a nice season. 18 points in 36 Allsvenskan games, 10 of which are goals.

What is your definition of “nice”?

Hi guys, what can you tell me about Filip Larsson?
Was once a highly-thought of prospect for Detroit. Had a lot of success in his first few post-draft seasons across a few different leagues… we thought we had a guy. But then he had some major groin injury that derailed his development/trajectory. He fizzled out as an NHL prospect, but he’s obviously had some newfound success in Sweden the past couple seasons. Not sure how much of that is him actually getting over his injury vs adapting his game while still having limitations.

Dylan James has some nice attributes sure, but is he actually any good? His stats are pretty ordinary. A high enough pick that he really should be doing better to justify his selection.

Think Riley Sheahan or Joey V (both 1st rounders). If he makes it. But that's the likely career outlook, if any, that Dylan James has.

Or wait, DJ is a winger. Um... dunno.
