I give a F***. You don't know that. I would like them to win a round or 2 and they will add at the TDL so getting rid of Strome now because he missed an empty net is just stupid.
The empty net miss is icing on the cake. He is a passenger in the O zone and just bad in the D zone. Why do you care who Panarin plays with this year? Are we beating Florida, Tampa, Carolina or Pitt in the first round? Not bloody likely; and those teams will add at the deadline because they have a punchers chance or better to win THIS year. We just do not.

I would move Bread up to the first line with Zib. And then the rest of the lines shake out depending on who is healthy. Your centers are Zib, Chytil, Barron, Goodrow and Rooney. We'll figure it out.

Chytil hasn't proven that he can play 3rd line center and now you want to move him up to 2nd line. I don't. The Rangers are not trading Strome this year.

It's not about skill or ability for GG; it's about trust and for some ridiculous reason he trusts peg leg Mckegg.
Safe is death for sure but now is the time to give a few of these Hartford kids a chance. Not gonna happen I realize.

Sooner people realize this easier it is to deal with. Strome is going nowhere. He is a rental. Hopefully won't be resigned but like you mention Chytil has not shown ability to play a very good 3rd line center nevertheless 2nd line center.

He definitely does but so do most coaches in the NHL. Just playing devils advocate here. I want guys like Pajuniemi and Barron to get a chance right now but obviously the coach and his staff think they are not good enough.
I didn't see Turk as a guy who worries about his job and coaches to minimize his risk by playing vets. But I'm beginning to think he plays the vets because that is the safe play, and that is bad for the development of this team and its future. Rooney and Mckegg are bad hockey players as were Tinordi and Nemeth. Yet here we are. I hope Pajuniemi gets a cup of coffee later in the season; he impressed me in the pre-season with his ability to battle along the boards and win 50/50 battles.

Their next game is against us, so it will be 2 games in hand at that point and if they lose to them we'll be in a catch up situation. This team is wildcard bound.
And if we beat Ottawa and then beat Washington we'll be 6 points up on them with 2 games still in hand. I really don't think we need to start getting ahead of ourselves too far with ifs and buts about positioning. There's a lot of season left for that and as far as us vs Washington we are in the driver's seat.

Team has played much better the last 2 games. They have some jump and look overall like a faster team. However, bostons roster was depleted and the red wing, while young and skilled, are a little disjointed and reckless with the puck. Either way, sometimes a goalie just has your number and griess always plays us well.

Good effort though. Really hope we can snag at least a Lehkonen to really help that 3rd line both now and moving forward. Also, I agree that Barron should play over McKegg, but we didn't lose because of McKegg. That's silly.

I care about getting rid of a guy that while not perfect has scored .75 ppg in 3 years with the Rangers and has played well when Panarin has been out of the lineup. Making the center position weaker this year before the playoffs start for a 3rd or 4th round pick is just stupid. They would be the underdog for sure but don't sell this team short because we have elite talent and Shesty can steal any series, plus they will add forward depth which is the biggest concern right now.

He is a rental with a good amount of points. Ya never know what a team in need of some offense will do at the deadline to take him off our hands. And again, not concerned about this year's lineup outside of player development. We are not contenders.

This team has scored two even strength goals over the last two games, this team already had problems beating Ottawa this season and got waxed by Washington. I think the more likely scenario is we are wild card bound by the end of next week.

I joked that Fox was hungover in the GDT but after that shootout attempt im pretty convinced he actually was haha

Nobody is saying we lost because of any one player, but there is no reason for Mckegg to play. He stinks, he is not young while Barron is, and we need a 3C.

And overall it's indicative of how bad of a coach Gallant is. Horrible personal deployment, horrible strategy. It bears repeating - THE PANTHERS LEFT THIS GUY ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD!

Why is every opinion stupid? Were you picked on as a kid? If we can get a 3rd round pick for a guy we have no intention of signing, we take it. Remember the year we chose Pavel Buchnevich and Anthony Duclair in the 3rd round? As for our playoff prospects, you are begging. Our elite talent is not elite at 5 X 5 and the whistle is less of an issue come playoff time.

Did you think the Canadians would reach the finals last year? We had a better record than they did.

The Canadians reached the finals because they played in the dogshit Canadian division and then played one real banged up team along the way. They then got waxed in the final by a real team. This team is going to be starting the playoffs on the road against Carolina. This is not the same situation.

Such a spoiled fanbase that some are crying about playoff seeding with 34 games to go. The Rangers are making the playoffs, worry about seeding the last 2 weeks of the season because thats the only time it will matter.

This. The road this year is paved with powerhouse teams with few holes, if any. The fact that we stink at even strength is a huge hole and makes us pretenders.
