Starting this Three game weekend I'm not expecting much. Would be pleasantly happy if we get 1 win this weekend. If we get two or three wins I'd be stunned.

Couple players still not showing the consistent effort needed, especially our 03 & 04s. Team structure is non existent, think weve had one complete game this season and that was vs Saginaw. Coaches keep beating there drum but cant get these players to Listen to it OR there gameplan and coaching style isnt cutting it, weve lost this season but were getting taken out behind the shed most games here. Half Ass effort and players out of positions playing One way hockey, it's tough to watch some games so far this season.

Costanzo with the Start. Hope he has some kind of fire under his arse after getting put on the bench for back to Back games for the first time this season. The team has been abysmal in front of him defensively but he needs to look more sharp.

I dont expect 11 goals against us tonight but I'm expecting an uphill battle if we are to somehow get the win. Need a good effort from opening puck drop from the whole team.

Which Spits team shows up? The horrible defensive team or the team that needs a first star goaltending performance to hang in the game. Sure I'd love to see a turnaround as most but don't think this coaching has had an impact. Will see at puck drop. Sure I'm grumbling but this roster should be much better or goes back to extremely over-rated talent, poor coaching or both. Been a long time since we have been sweeping the basement like this. Early 2000's ?

Be more like London? Jk.
St Clair nite
Never choose alternate jersey that resembles your arch enemy. No matter the Saint connection. Could you imagine the Canadiens, Leafs, Wings, Bruins wearing one of the other ones colors?? Never Never . Hunter must be chuckling on the ground in tears with laughter 😃

A great win, should give the guys more confidence. No Greentree or Woodall but everyone stepped up. I thought Spellacy was outstanding. His speed gave Kitchener trouble the entire game, if he continues to play like that the points will come. Christopoulos is just a natural goal scorer, I wonder if he gets traded at some point. Eichler is improving, had some big hits and is a plus 5 in his last last five games. Cole Davis is showing improvement as well.

Could be a nightmare scenario with the injuries as Greentree, Woodall and now Dionicio are injured. The hit on Dionicio was pretty bad, surprised there was no penalty. He did not have the puck when he was hit. Gotta hope all three are back soon.

A few thoughts...

- I knew this wasn't going to be anywhere near 11-2 again. Windsor was pissed and, if they were going to grab a win this weekend, this was the night for it.

Goals against...

- First - four players watching the blocker side. Misaljevic sneaks behind and Cole Davis (I think?) can't get to him in time.
- Second - can't clear on the PP, becomes a 3-on-1 in front of Costanzo. Turns into a 4-on-2, and the 4th guy buries it all alone on a nice move.
- Third - power play, tic-tac-toe, getting the players moving laterally. Final shot is a one-timer blocker side.

- If Windsor plays like this, defensively, they'll win more often than not. Just 29 shots against, Costanzo made some monster saves, and they looked comfortable. There are things to clean up but I appreciate the effort.
- Nobody can say this club doesn't hit. They were throwing their weight around, sticking up for each other, and it was what you wanted to see in a game like this.
- Offensively, they have the energy and the creativity, but 21 shots is risky if you want three or four goals a game. That's three of the last four where they were under 22 shots. Gotta find ways to get the puck on goal.
- nine different players with a point, including Eichler's first in the league.
- Spellacy has opened up the flood gates, finally. He's so quick and strong that it was a matter of time.
- Solid debut from Toms. He's not going to be physical but he's smart and can create. He seemed calm on the back end and that's what they need right now.
- Greentree is out for at least the weekend with an injury from practice this week.
- No word on Dionicio's injury. I saw him go hard into the boards but didn't see what part hit the boards. Hopefully we'll know more tomorrow.

The team now heads up north for a pair with the Soo. The question is - can they keep the energy going? It's been up and down after every win and the Soo is a tough rink to win in.

Agree with pretty much all of which you wrote about, solid effort all around from the goalie on out.
Allowing the #1 scoring team in the league just 1,5 on 5 goal solid accomplishment, outscoring them 3-1, 5 on 5 impressive especially considering #1 point and goal scorer out Greentree, Woodall top 4 do so far out of the lineup, Peer 2nd highest point scorer goes pointless,Nesbitt impressive 16 year old rookie away at the U17s,understand he scored a goal yesterday there, losing Dionicio with 6 minutes to go,and Kitchener with nobody out, nice and sweet revenge for the 11-2 drubbing at the hands of Kitchener 2 plus weeks ago.
Great game overall by Costanzo, when he allows 3 or less Windsor usually wins,Christopoulis is a beast 7 points,4 goals in his 4 games played 7 points to boot, steady game from newcomer Connor Toms on the D,+1 on the night,in fact only 1 skater was a minus,Cole Davis-1.
Eichler continues to improve, very physical and picked up his 1st point an assist,Spits more physical then usual on this night, that's a good thing, even players that have struggled Castle and Smith, Abraham too all picked up points, Spits now 3-1-1 in their last 5 games.
On the injury front, no word on Dionicio yet about
about his injury,Greentree will not play in the 2 games up in the Sault this coming weekend
Woodall is out 3-6 weeks with a hand injury, and Nesbitt will miss the 2 in the Soo,with his U17 obligations.
I would imagine Spits will callup dmam Adrian Manzo from LA Salle in case Dionicio unable to play this weekend.
Only lineup change I would make would be Struthers in upfront and Stewart out.
Should be good bonding time for the guys this weekend, hopefully Toms will pass along some playing info against his old mates this weekend.
Hoping the Spits can maintain their mostly solid play that they have displayed in the last 5 games,Joey has played well up in the
Soo,let's hope he keeps it up against the 2nd highest scoring team in the league, with help from everyone like the one against Kitchener, despite missing key players with Windsor

There was no penalty on the Dionicio hit because it was Spellacy that hit him. Nice hit, wrong player.

I agree about Spellacy. Once he moved to centre he has taken off. Best player on the ice last night. He has really upped his game in the defensive zone as well. His speed and willingness to engage will draw attention for sure.

Castle with a slashing penalty trying to stop a breakaway. Glad that he made an attempt and was back to help but where the H was the D???

Martin from Kitchener comes unhinged pretty easy. Would not want him on a contender. Tried to start a fight after the game was over. Not a good look.

Joey made some nice saves. Here's hoping he has found his groove.

Next 2 games don't get any easier. Hopefully Spits can give the Soo a run. If they can at least stay competitive I'm not as concerned about the results.

Windsor won.
Almost gave it away again.
Threw a few more checks.
Nice 1st goal.
Goalie made a few good stops.
Defense ran around too much. Defensive zone coverage shitty.
More shots on net.
Coaches weren't good.
