I like the addition of Connor Toms. An experienced d-man should help the young D a bit. Woodall has been their most reliable d-men, if he is out long, that is a huge blow.

I believe there are only a few days remaining for Chromiak to be dealt or he will be put on waivers. I assume the Spitfires get the first crack since they are in last? If so, Bowler definitely has to pick him up. We're talking about a young d-man that is going to be a 2-4th round NHL draft pick. Either release Eicheler or try and get a deal with Dionicio done since there is only a 50% chance he is back next year. As another poster noted, Kingston and Oshawa have an import spot open and those squads could really use some offense.

As per BEN LEESON via Twitter…Got some clarification on the Sudbury Wolves' import situation today. They have until this coming Saturday to make a move and cut down to two players as it was two weeks ago Friday that all the paperwork was filed to add Dalibor Dvorsky to the roster. The other 2 imports are #Goalie Jakub Vondras and defenceman Jakub Chromiak. Wolves have been exploring trade options for Chromiak

Chromiak for someone + a pick, then Dionicio for Konnor Smith and a pick. Bam. (no, I'm not serious)

Well that opportunity has sailed. I still think Bowler should start dealing. Returns for a longer season compared to trade deadline rentals could be advantageous. At least place the bait. At least it would let the remaining players know the current situation is not acceptable.

My concern with dealing now is before the rest of the managers catch on that Smith, Abraham and Castle are not now worth a heavy investment. Maillet stock falling, Peer and Christopoulis is as advertised. Jodoin stock is lowwwww. Might as well keep him as the value in return is maybe a Tim's gift card currently. Save the embarrassment from just bring released.

Nah it’s hard to break those old dial-up wall phones……it just adds some picks to Sudbury so they can deal for Dionico
They didn’t have the import room I don’t think
Windsor was never going to give up that much for a player in a down year and I'm glad they didn't.
Disagree, massively. He is going to be a good defender in the OHL. He is just stuck behind a stacked D corps in Sudbury. You and @hockeylegend11 are going to regret this.

Regret is an interesting choice of words but to be honest if I started regretting every deal or missed deal by the Spits I'd likely need some heavy councilling.

17 other teams didn't make the deal either. Still say at this point in time this deal was too steep for the Spits. Not going to dwell on it. There will be other moves, nonmoves made soon that will keep the chat going. Carry on.

It would have been nice to have Chromiak but, at the same time, Dionicio/Eichler aren't our main issues right now. I'd rather see what Toms can bring us (given he hasn't even played a game yet) and, if needed down the road, bring in another non-Import veteran D to shore things up.

Agree Chromiak would have been nice but perhaps you're right. The next few games might make it difficult to stand pat, only time will tell.

Tonight the start of a tough 3 in 4 weekend. Expectations are low so maybe a pleasant surprise in there somewhere? Hoping Kitchener or the Soo take the win for granted and come out flat? Anything can happen in junior hockey and maybe it will starting tonight!

Hopefully with a good week of practice/ coaching ( cough cough) they will be dialed in.

I'm sure there will be some bright spots. Maybe Joey can finally steal one!

Play like the scouts are watching!

The scouts are watching, and I would say the value of each player has gone quite aways down.
The players have to make up for the other deficiencies they are not responsible for.
Playing hard each night is what potential pro's do!

I have a question regarding O/A players. OHL teams can carry 4 O/A players but only dress 3 in a game up to a certain date in the season.
What is the date when a team must reduce its O/A players from more than 3 to three?

I believe it's 5 till Dec 1,then 4 till Jan 9,then 3 on the 9th 1 day before trade deadline.

The only thing I've seen is an article from NB's website (Baytoday.ca), dated 2019, that states teams must be down to four by Nov. 10. The limit goes down to three on Jan. 9.

Glad to see Nesbitt leaving now for the u17. Great experience and get away from the current environment to restore some confidence.
