I would not bring Froggett into this sh-----show right now. No goalie in the league can save the current state of the Spits other than a lucky super stellar performance for the odd game. Costanzo already beyond frustrated in his draft year as a high propect backstopping the current debacle. How many more goalie confidences can they ruin?? Culture needs changing and attention to somewhat a defensive team game. How about some physical play. This team has size in many positions but we play soft as butter.

It was more of an observation than a "bring up the kid!" Froggett's getting his time in Jr B, which is good. Once Windsor's D improves, then figure out whether he's a candidate to be called up.

Too date Delmore has not done it. Smith's identity as having his own style has not materialized either direction. Torres known as a physical get in shape coach and skill progression. None have shown anything to date. Torres just coming in gets a hall pass for now.

Froggett needs to be brought up now and not just because in 6 games he has played in B so far in London averaging 3.01 with a 4-2 record and a 904 save per centage, though in his last 3 he is 3-0,a 2.00 goals against average and a 925 save per centage but something that 99% of the people posting here don't know about but me.
He has only played 1 game in the last 15 days and that was Thursday night, not because he was hurt did he not play the previous 4 games but another goalie they brought in a year older (18),was drafted by Oshawa last year U18 draft is 4-0, with a 1.25 average, though he played 2 against last place teams but my point is London Jr B doesn't care about Froggett they know can call him up anytime and the kid is being screwed.
He needs out of there now, London doesn't play again till Wednesday and I can guarantee you Froggett won't start that game.
Get him in Windsor now,no sense having a 19 year old backup Michelone who can't play in this league, average is over 5 in 16 OHL games, and over 6 in 6 games over 2 years in Windsor.

My concern is strictly confidence breaking. Having a young goalie getting lit up is not a longterm gain. How can a goalie give his 110% when the team I not and does not have your back? They don't give a s-'t why should I. That does not groom the future

No pass for Torres,! He just stands there, delivering almost nothing to the players at the bench.
I agree but it is too early for him and we have no idea how much reins he has been given. He was hired late ad well.

Except he meaning Froggett was the only goalie who didn't struggle in exhibition either, gave up 2 goals in 1st 11 minutes, and only 1 the last 49 minutes of play.
He is tall 6'4",athletic, multi sport player, regardless needs to get out of London Jr B,can't play in LA Salle because London owns his B rights,he will not develop properly in London.

Exhibition is not a good measuring stick. But probably trying to move the goal posts again...

He played the first preseason game against Flint, currently not a measuring stick for anything. Not saying he can't be in this league but, The Nationals are 1 game out of first. Frogett is 3rd in save% so far on his team. Not even close to top 20 junior B goalies. Sabourin is a year younger and has a 1.25 in 4 games compared to Froggett 3.01 in 6 games. Same team and defense ?? Bring him in to the shark fest right now. Not me.

Actually Sabourin is an 05,Froggett is an 06 a year younger and the other goalie was an 03 an overager.
Sabourin played last year in Elmira Jr B and averaged 1.71 but still not playing in the O.
Something tells only 6' is the problem otherwise why isn't Oshawa playing him.
Froggett allowed 5 goals against powerhouse La Salle in his 1st game faced 40 shots and stopped 35 was outstanding I know I was there.
Since then in last 5 games only 13 goals against,4 in 1 game,9 in the other 4,4-1 last 5 games,he should be here.

Side note Liam Foudy was claimed off waivers by the Preds. Thought he'd would have cracked the Blue Jackets after a quick start that first playoff run. Still think it was a mistake for the CHL to let Jean-luc go to AHL after covid dumb league decision. Not ready. Mired now in the AHL so far.

Right now, Windsor needs to improve the D somehow, then look at the backup goaltending spot. I'd love to see Froggett called up but right now if it feels like he would be fed to the wolves. If Costanzo is having this bad of a season, and it's not all on him, putting a rookie into the situation won't likely be better in a reasonable sample size.

You are correct he is a year older. I certainly agree Froggett has super potential, I just don't want him coming in with the weight of the fans and team expecting him to save them from themselves. Clear out the our OA'S and underperforming 18&19 yr olds and straighten the coaching staff and then when the pressure is off bring him in with our 16-17 yr olds an go from there.

I think you could make this case if he were a 16 year old but he is 17 and I believe his draft year (could be mistaken). I think he needs to play this year and if things work out well he can push for the starters position next year. No reason he can't come in and play backup to Costanzo. No reason to waste picks/players on another goalie either.

Good post.
The Nats aren't screwing him over as mentioned above. Ya play the G who u wanna run with (for whatever reason) at the Jr level. Not saying "factors" are or aren't involved but they aren't trying to screw him.

I am fine with Costanzo getting 50 or so starts, let him figure his game out!, He is a good goalie and will be here potentially for two more seasons after this current season. I do think getting Frogget into some Regular season OHL action will not hurt, win or lose. He will only have 3 more years in this league after this one and getting his toes wet will help for next season and beyond.

This Saginaw team is strong, if we see the same Spitfire team as last Weekend this will be another ugly game, these players need to do a better job of holding there heads up high and still competing when were down a few goals because weve already seen it a few times this year, it only gets worse when you stop competing, this league will eat you up.

Still Waiting for guys like Spellacy, Malliet, Morneau, Abraham, Struthers to start producing as needed for this team and it's just not happening yet. If an improvement isn't seen soon changes need to be made to send some kind of message. They level of compete thru the first 8 games has been unacceptable and hard to watch.

Go Spits Go!

What is the deal with Christopoulos? They said he would miss the first 1-2 weeks of the season. Almost a month in and no sign of him?

This game could get ugly like the preview few. It is disappointing not one minor change was made after last week's embarrassment. Lets' just hope they can keep this one within 5 goals in front of this big crowd.

There's a scene in Bull Durham when Joe Riggins is talking to Crash Davis. Joe doesn't know how to get through to his team Crash Davis says they're young kids scare em. Right now Smith is a toothless coach and doesn't have much credibility. Needs to change asap.
