WINDSOR
He'd be an asset on the PP as a forward, in a 4 on 4 , overtime 3 on 3 as a backup D capability in those situations Take the spotlight off him defensively and let him play hockey and have fun. Honestly feel he would enjoy the game way more, his excitement offensively is evident.

In my little world I have put this years Spits season into perspective. The Spits just finished 2 of their best seasons in awhile. Last one ended poorly but still was a good regular season. I new this was never going to be a go for it year. I also new there was a chance with the graduations the talent level would be younger and inexperienced. And here we are. A young team that has struggled to win. Flashes of good so you know the talent is there but just having a hard time putting it together every night and especially against older experienced teams. This team will be good next year and very good the year after. I just need to be patient for this to develop. Hard to do at my age.
Wassilyn watch continues.

I personally like what I've seen from obviously Greentree, but I also really like Cole Davis who will be draft and Carson Woodall is probably their most reliable defenseman Spellacy is showing improvement and will be drafted. Eichler is hit or miss but is improving.

Cristoforo appears to have regressed. I think he can be like Nathan Staios. He was a -30 in his second season and a -20 in his 3rd season in the league and he ended up being one of the better defensemen in the OHL. Patience is required for Cristoforo. It's taking him a while to get the Savard pond hockey out of his mind.

Nesbitt doesn't play enough to get a good read, but he looks decent.

It's a rebuild season, if you take away the Jarrod Smith ERA, the squad is slightly above .500. Yes Bowler made a mistake hiring him but that's done with. Sarnia, Barrie, Peterborough were all good teams last year and are rebuilding. You might have 5-6 players drafted this year, add in maybe an acquisition and a drafted player in the import draft and there could be 5-8 NHL draft picks on the team next season.

Not to mention you have the chance to add someone like Wassilyn and have 3 of the top 24 picks in the OHL draft. The rest of this season is going to suck no doubt, but after every loss people will be on here complaining.
They have 1- 07 and they can't even manage him correctly. The miss management of the young players alone tells me Bowler and This interm coach have no idea what they're doing. They can't even keep a line the same from 1 game to the next. They cut the bench after the first period every game and lose. Abraham and his 2 minute shifts. Christoforo puss pants gets hurt more than anyone in the league. Total Bum.

As long as the Spita end up with one of Wassilyn or Valentini we should call this season a success in my opinion.

If we‘re this bad, we better get at least one of the #1 O/A calibre players or this season ends up as terrible.

Must be mismanagement of young players by Bowler and company when 5 of them are rated by NHL scouts for the upcoming NHL,2nd most of any OHL team only Mississauga with 6 has more.
As for your comment re Nesbitt he is coming along nicely, ice time not to be given but warranted and he is definitely showing improvement and I expect his ice time to reflect it moving forward.
As for your comments re Christoforo a shameful display nice of you to hide behind a keyboard and let loose on a 17 year old, something to be proud of.
Christoforo who missed most of camp and exhibition because of injury started slowly like most of the team, through the 1st 21 games and then coaching change, 1st 21 games a -22,last 19 games he is a+1 huge difference last year at this time he had 24 points, now it's at 25 points with a less talented team.
Interesting u say nothing about Greentree drafted 2nd rd 34th overall, last year 1st 20 games 3G,0A,now in last 78 games he has 46G,53A,99 points and he just turned 18 years old, must be that terrible development by Windsor.

Agree I would love to wind up getting either Wassilyn or Valentini, prefer Wassilyn.
As for today's game at Brantford formerly Hamilton
Costanzo gets the start,no surprise there.
Toms is in for Winegard on D
Everything else remains the same.

Doesn't surprise me. If he can get it looked at by people back home, then come back healthy either this season or next, it's all the better for Windsor.
He's not from Kingston....and his parents don't live in Ottawa anymore - so it's just odd.

I still have a hard time saying it's a successful season though. It could be a nice prize in the end but we need to closer examine what caused this. I am usually not one to say coaching matters because it's about the Jimmy's and Joe's. After this year though they need to find a better coach Smith was awful and Torres hasn't been good either. They can draft top 2 but if they hire a dud it won't matter.

Hope whomever it is reports as well. although the compensation is great it pushes the can another year down tge road.

Last year should have been the year to do it imo. Just from the perspective of Nesbitt has had 2 coaches this year, toiling on the 4th line with players who aren't really part of the future. Add in every game it switches sometimes he's playing C then playing LW. Starting in Sept he most likely will have his 3rd coach.

True, there is a reason why Torres still holds the “interm“ tag though. You better hope that Bowler realizes he can‘t cut corners with the next hire. Im hoping for DJ Smith.

What i‘ve seen is the biggest problem with this team is the lack of quality players and offensive production from the ‘04’s and 05’s.

The ‘03’s this year were great and have been great, but then Windsor‘s next best players have been in the ‘06 age group. that is a massive gap in age and a problem if you want to remain competitive.
