I posted this in November on the Ottawa thread as a suggested trade, Michelone and Maillet for Donoso and picks and here we are!

Hell of a haul for Maillet and no cards used once again.
Ya gotta expect PEER heading elsewhere perhaps for players and picks.
Credit where it's due, Bowler has smashed his moves today. Love every one. Prices are insane, get a haul for Peer and anyone else being moved is just a bonus.

Players and coaches never tank, GM's do. Gona be tough on Casey.
Perfect situation. The season was already a wash before Casey got in the HC role. Chance at the #1 pick and a proper rebuild rather than being tempted by a 1st round exit. Grab a couple of OAs on waivers, give Greentree and the kids all the ice time they can handle and we're rolling for the future.

you gotta give Bowler props. He got a few REALLY good years out of Maillet sfter getting him for a 5th.
Only to trade him in his overage season for that.

It’s the process of junior hockey, you compete for a season, or two then you’re bad and have to rebuild and recoup assets for the next run, unfortunatley we‘re in the rebuild.

This is the first full season of Bowler's first rebuild. The pre-Bowler days are different than now. We have no idea what's going to happen but he seems to be doing well so far. Let's just hope it continues.
They still need to hit on their picks. As of now his drafting is really a mixed bag.
