Sorry, the topic was Michelone's trade so I figured...
Ottawa media guy reporting on Twitter that Donoso is heading to Windsor.
Michelone is a safety net for MacKenzie coming off injury. OA Donoso is from windsor so I expected Donoso in a deal for Peer or others Moving Donoso opens up that OA spot in Ottawa. And we have a open OA spot now maybe 2 before long.

Got to complete trades one at a time with OA's to open up a spot to avoid 4 on a roster even for a short period on paper.

Ouch. I'm sure there will be some sweetener for Ottawa in a another move. Michelone for a 12th was likely it.

At this point it’s all about giving up on the season and accumulating what you can for what’s leaving in the off season. Improving is the last thing on their mind

Yeah, if the trade was say Donoso for Peer (or Maillet), Michleone and the picks, it‘s 2 O/A for each other so it wouldn’t matter. Or am I missing something?

I think he is assuming Peer to Ottawa so why not make it OA for OA. So quite possible Peer is not going to Ottawa. Ottawa rumours had an OA RW not in the O as a target.

My understanding is Donoso was out on waivers previous to today. He was probably claimed when the Mancini deal went down.
I heard a bigger trade with Windsor but knew Michelone was gone for sure.
Back and forth on the other deal all day. Latest has Maillet, not Peer. Things have been flip-flopping based on second hand info from a few different sources. I honestly don’t know what to believe but it “sounds” like it is Maillet to Ottawa. I don’t know the return of it does happen

It's possible that things have changed hour-by-hour. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen it.

Maybe ottawa didn't have enough pickle juice..

No I think OMG suggested another OA coming in from somewhere else so the issue was with Ottawa not on Windsors end.

Correct.
I think there was some possibility they may have worked out another deal for a player returning to the OHL. Or at least there was some chatter.
There was also talk about Windsor all weekend. Some glitches here and there.
This is why I am not 100% on what I am hearing but it does some like it is done now. Can’t wait to get it confirmed through press release at this point.
