From twitter……
Like every year, the #OHL trade window should be open again beginning tomorrow for the month of June where teams can swap players and/or picks!

There are usually some decent deals made during this month long window to set teams up heading into the respective training camps.

So did I. The tweet I posted was from a Kitchener account.

I saw who posted it. This is me thinking out loud. I know in years past, it was after the Memorial Cup, when it ran long. Either way, it'll be open by Monday at the latest. Windsor has had active Junes going back multiple seasons now.
Thry better n should be active..

Should note, huge game for former Spitfire Dionicio. 1G, 3A tying him for most on the spirit with 5 points.

Christopolous sitting a point behind him at 4 pts in 4 games in the tournament.

As a Michigander and a Spitfires Fan, I gotta say, Go Spirit!

If anyone is looking to attend the Memorial Cup final, I have two seat available in section U23, Row U, seats 5&6. $150 CAN each.

As far as I knew, once he signed with Windsor, he was with Windsor. If there's an option to send him back while he's still signed, it's good to know.
Instead of playing in Chicago, every team in Detroit would love to have him.

He's complaining about the defence but, when Savard was here, the defence wasn't bad and they went to the OHL Championship. I'm sure he enjoy that segment of it,

In general, yes, I'm satisfied as a fan. (though, I realize the non "yes or no" answer would be far more complicated and likely diverging into a topic that's been beaten to death on here)

I can see Martin being given a shot on a lower line but I don't see Greenwell, Winegard, Toms, or Struthers returning. There's no point.
The issue is that defence hasn't been a priority for the past 3 years. For 2 of those years they were able to outscore those issues. Now they can't do that. Also the one year was right after covid. The league is in a better situation than in 21-22. Bowler is far behind now.

Quite expensive

Probably more than 3 years..

Definitely after the Memorial Cup.

Imagine London or Saginaw making a trade today for a top player to play tomorrow ?!
Final rosters are set about a month after trade deadline I believe.
( Or a member of a team in finals getting traded......thanks for your help, we need for one more game than pack up n move on lol)
But ya, let the Cup play out then open the window for trades.

The tickets from the event center directly upper bowl are at $260 US ea plus fees Yes ,expensive but at $150 ea Can he is offering a bargain

Not surprised at that price. Nice treat for a couple of fans
Tournament about money

Then we're going to have another great draft year and 25-26 will be insane.

I understand why people would be apprehensive tog giving Costanzo the number one spot… but he was our Starter last year, and he will be this year. At least to start. If someone challenges him and takes it Frogget/Altimann/Maybe…. MAYBE Windbiel, Great. But I have zero doubts that Costanzo is the current plan for this season as the #1 Goalie on the roster.

I've figured out what to do with Winegard and Smith, hopefully the Spitfires have too lol.

Eichler's Import draft dependent. Martin would be a fine 3rd/4th line guy on this team if we need the body (although it seems we've got better/younger options if we're just looking for size) and Morneau will be a mid-line guy, that we hope can generate some draft stock, and if not ends up being one of those OHL-Career, heart and hustle Spitfires.

We have room in the 04' Category and the assets to add a mid-tier D-Man that can eat up #2-#3 minutes if need be, but I'd rather struggle a bit and save anything for a year were actually going for it.

I really don't think the organization expected Greentree to carry Windsor to a great playoff push as the 17 year old captain.

I think Bowler and crew are smarter than they lead on. They knew the team was going to struggle, we knew it was a rebuild, and they through Smith into the fire in a sink or swim situation, knowing if he failed they could easily write it off on moving on from him, and not have fans upset they turned their back on a long time organization guy. It was a year they were cleaning house on more than just the 03's after the failed push the year before.
I think you're giving Bowler too much credit. Just using it as a throw away year hiring Smith is doing a disservice to the players, fans and franchise. The last 3 years has been a mess on D and Bowler has to own that.

I think you under estimate how bothered fans were. This was their worst season since 06-07 and there isn't a 52 point jump in the standings this upcoming season like in 07-08.

Way too much

No disagreement. It's a lot of money for any event, but, if people want to pay because it means something to them, it'll happen. It's all a matter of what your price is.

As far as the fans go, I can only go on what I've heard and talked about in my travels... some were upset that Smith was gone, some were accepting, but most just wanted to see the team get back to where they had been in the past couple of seasons.
