Upset Smith was gone? That’s absurd to think about. Really, there was no justification to put in the HC role in the first place and every reason to fix that mistake.

I'd happily welcome Savard back, at this point. I'm not the most knowlegable person on coaching candidates, but I hated seeing him go, and think he offers a great opportunity to develop our new young core of players into a contender

I think if Savard returns to the CHL, he will be a career CHL coach. If he is to move forward, he needs to be a NHL assistant or an AHL head coach.

Possibly a part ownership woth a team? He's been an AC for 2 stints in the NHL already with not good results but was fine with the Spits other than maybe a bit more attention to eat defense required.

I'd be OK with it as long as a "quality " assistant that is a defensive guru is hired as well. Not any former defensive coaches.

I'm more concerned that the new head coach is going to be stuck with the assistants that are in place now.

I've heard good things about that part of his coaching but not sure that is what he wants in his own development path. Don't think he will stick around as a pure skills coach? Time will tell I guess.
I read development is where his heart lies. It his specialty and he had no desire to become a head coach. Unless that changed recently. I'd keep him on as an a AC for that reason.

Could Wyatt Johnston become the best forward ever to come out of the Spits? Early numbers say potentially yes. Just turned 21 and leads his team in scoring regular season and playoffs. Has all the tough assignments covering McDavid, Draisaitl, McKinnon and still has 10 goals this playoffs.

I don't think Torres being the AC would be status quo so much as righting the previous wrong. If they bring in a HC and have Torres do what he was originally brought in to do, then they're fine. I know Torres said he enjoys Windsor and Bowler wasn't happy that he had to put Torres in the position he did earlier this season. Right the wrong and let's move forward.

Bowler can be not happy all he wants
It was his doing.

Not in the business of righting wrongs. BB created this mess, then refused to properly fix it. He put a bad product together and compounded his mistake with Torres. How Torres can agree to hang around with him as boss is mind boggling! But not my decision.
2 major decisions left. Coaching staff and euro pick. Lets see how that goes before anything else.
Ps. Thank goodness that team up the road didnt win!!

Get back to me when he matches Adam Graves with his 50 goals and a Stanley Cup or scoops a Hart trophy like Taylor Hall. You might be right though, he's on track.
