How badly I was hoping the article was about Hutchison or Burchell...

In the OHL Championship last season, ref Hamilton made a questionable call or three and the full house was yelling "You suck, Hamilton." I looked at a buddy and said "that can be confusing" lol
Savard has been notoriously vague when talking about injuries. So id say wait and see who is on the bench to start the game lol. Even then u never know!! Huge points this weekend!! Lets go boys!!

I always appreciate him discussing injuries but I also know that you won't get many details. That said, sometimes you have to read between the lines. "A little banged up" tends to mean the guy's coming back soon. "He'll be out a bit" (ie. Spellacy) is bad.

Game next Saturday against the Knights close to a sell out, approx 150 seats left and all mostly high seats.
That game will sell out. I can't wait, that's going to be a fun weekend of hockey. London just found 32 seats to make available for that Friday night game where the Spits shoot twice. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more Red/White/Blue jerseys at that game.

No Peer, Smith, Abraham , Greentree, and Spellacy. It's concerning less than two weeks until playoffs and the squad only has 7 OHL forwards healthy. Dionicio is on a line with Wright and Christopoulos. If they don't get anyone back by the playoffs, even winning the 1st round could be a challenge. Would be really unfortunate to have an all in season derailed by this crazy string of injuries.

Absolutely. Injuries seem subtle on the surface like not sure when it occurred but they all then seem to be lingering. I'm still upset Abraham didn't have surgery early on the initial injury. We wouldn't be talking about it now. I imagine swelling is the issue to Greentree since it was reported no injury to his eye thank God! All bodies missing are all key players fir different reasons. There has not been 1 game since the trade acquisitions where everyone on the starting roster was all playing. Hard to develop chemistry with the constant line combos changing every period.

Yep can't help but think the Abraham injury was handled poorly. It's been 4 month of just waiting. He was probably going to post 80-90 points and really make a name for himself, feel bad for the guy.

Greentree should be back soon since there was no damage, just stitches. Hopefully just a minor injury to Peer. He can be a gamechanger as we saw on Wednesday.

Sounds like they flew some players north to fill the roster. Tough when you only have 2 OHL lines. Still some really good players playing so hopefully they can pull out a win .

Go Spits Go!!!

Surprised about the bodies they got, but glad they were able to. Stewart will be missing a playoff game with the Corvairs, and Birkett played last night with La Salle also having games Saturday and Sunday.

Luckily Dionicio has the ability to move up and is still an impact player. Jodoin is definitely a better defensemen where Dionicio has looked comfortable, and been productive in both roles.

Hopefully LaSalle gets knocked out soon so we can at least fill the bench.

Glad they were able to get at least 16/18 bodies up in the Soo.

I have to wonder if Birkett is back in LaSalle tomorrow or if he sticks around for the game tomorrow as well.

I read with a "torn" ligament if it hasn't healed with 3-4 weeks, surgery is the option. I'm no doctor but Web MD is pretty reliable lol

Could be a Spits drubbing of LK :) With both teams resting players.
Fans will be leaving overjoyed having already clinched the Conference by at least the game before. ;)

Another game another potentially serious injury as Sobolev could not put any weight on the leg. Never seen this team with so many injuries as we've seen within the last few months.

Congrats to Costanzo on his 1st shutout. He should be in the net tomorrow considering you're trying to secure the #1 seed.

Good to see Sobolev return, dude must have blocked 10 shots tonight. London won and Sarnia is on the way to a victory so tomorrow's game is quite important.

No coincidence we get Burchell tonight & it's the worst officiated game of the season for us. Just horrific.
Caught the end of it and a bit between Spits periods. They seemed to be calling way too much for this time of year, but it looked like an extremely exciting game.

On the contrary, I thought the Spits/Soo game was very well officiated this evening.

Glad to get up a point on Sarnia, as I really thought Sarnia was going to win out.
